History1827: První česká vzájemná pojišťovna (First Czech Mutual Insurance Company) established in Prague (ČP is its legal successor)

1945: Nationalization of insurance companies

1991: Demonopolisation, beginning of competitive environment

1996: Entry of PPF financial group into ČP

2008: ČP becomes part of Generali PPF Holding

2010: CP launched major changes to gain 30% market share
