What’s up with MS?...and where’s Apple?

Lots of press around Microsoft “leaving the show”- CEA and Microsoft have been very tight so what does this mean?

Apple has never attended, but a large number of iAccessory companies do

Complaints that CES is “too big”

MS appears to be using Apple’s playbook

Don’t create a “predictable” product launch schedule by heavy involvement in trade shows...

Build an integrated UX on the entire product stack (Metro UI on PC, Tablet, Phone, XBOX) 4

CES Facts

Most of the really cool stuff is shown in private suites and not on the show floor

Some products are purchased based only on specs, but seeing and touching are key for consumer devices

The conference takes place at LVCC, but key business meetings occur all over the city

Even if a company isn’t on the show floor, their representatives are in Las Vegas to make deals

CES will continue to grow as companies make significant money on the deals they complete
