Thiscoursewillconsistof102hourssplitbetweenaclassroom(42hours)Lab(27hours)andclinical(33hours)setting.Eachstudentwilllearnbasictheoreticalcomponent,whichisdeRinedbytheStateOfConnecticutandFederalregulations.Studentswillbetrainedon25corecompetencyskills,whichwillpreparestudentsfortheFinalExamwithProMetric.

Thetrainingincludes,butnotlimitedto;! InitialTraining,! BasicNursingSkills! PersonalCareSkills! MentalHealthandSocialServices! CareofCognitiveImpairedresidents! BasicRestorativeServices! ResidentsRights.

EnrollmentRequirementsfortheProgram

1. Proofapplicantisatleast16yearsorolder.2. CurrentnegativePPDornegativex-ray.Thismustbecompletedbeforeenteringinto

theclinicalfacility.3. Backgroundcheck(Thisistolookatanypreviousjobswithinahealthcarefacility).4. Thepaymentoftheregistrationfeeandarrangementstopaytuition.5. Signedenrollmentagreement.6. GraduationRequirements

StudentswhosuccessfullycompleteanyofNortheastMedicalInstituteProgramswillbeawardedaCertiRicateofAchievementintheprogramofstudy.

UponcompletionofthecoursethestudentmaysitandtaketheCTStateExamthatisprovidedbyPrometric.SuccessfulcompletionofNortheastMedicalInstitutecoursesdoesnotguaranteeapassinggradeontheStatePrometricExam.
