Frequently Asked Questions Where can I find out more about shingle recycling?
The required course “Asphalt Shingles and the Green Home” covers shingle recyclingthoroughly. You can also visit shinglerecycling.org
Which recycling company should I use?
We do not require a specific recycling company. Be sure your recycler provides youwith weigh tickets or load slips for each roof recycled. If you have trouble finding alocal option, we can help.
What if recycling isn’t available in my area?
The Sustainability Assessment is required. We require you to begin recycling as soonas a viable recycling option exists in your area.
What if I use a subcontractor for tear-offs?
Tell them to provide load slips as above. Keep track of the job name and otherdocumentation to upload to your Recycling Activity Report
Frequently Asked Questions (cont’d) How do I upload weigh slips/load tickets?
See the form located in the Certified Contractor Zone. Scan and upload the weighslips, or simply retain them and reference the date, job name, or ticket number forour records.
Can I upload recycling activity more than once a quarter?
Yes, you may upload at any time.
