14. THE PREMISES AND JOB SITE SHALL BE MAINTAINED IN A REASONABLYNEAT AND ORDERLY CONDITION AND KEPT FREE FROM ACCUMULATIONSOF WASTE MATERIALS AND RUBBISH DURING THE ENTIRE CONSTRUCTIONPERIOD. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE ALL CRATES, CARTONS ANDOTHER TRASH FROM THE WORK AREAS EACH DAY, AND SHALL BERESPONSIBLE FOR ITS PROPER DISPOSAL. THE PREMISES SHALL BEPROTECTED THROUGHOUT CONSTRUCTION.

15. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PREPARE THE PREMISES FOR OCCUPANCYWITH A THOROUGH CLEANING THROUGHOUT INCLUDING THEWASHING/CLEANING OF ALL SURFACES AND GLASS, AND THE REMOVALOF ALL PAINT, PUTTY, AND STAINS FROM THE SAME. PROVIDE RUNNERSTRIPS OF MASONITE AND KRAFT BUILDING PAPER ON FINISHED FLOORSAS REQUIRED FOR PROTECTION. ALL FIXTURES AND EQUIPMENT WILL BELEFT IN UNDAMAGED, BRIGHT, CLEAN AND POLISHED CONDITION.

16. ALL WORK SHALL BE OF THE BEST CALIBER AND WORKMANSHIP. WORKNOT CONFORMING TO THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OR TO THE INTENT OFTHE DESIGN SHALL BE REINSTALLED AT NO EXTRA CHARGE, IF SODEEMED BY THE ARCHITECT.

17. ALL WORK SHALL BE SUBJECT TO FINAL INSPECTION BY THE ARCHITECT.

18. ALL PLUMBING AND ELECTRICAL WORK SHALL BE PERFORMED BYPERSONS LICENSED IN THEIR TRADES.

7. THE CONTRACTOR WILL AT ALL TIMES MAKE SURE THAT THERE ISNO LEAKAGE OF NATURAL GAS IN THE BUILDING, OR ANYFLAMMABLE GAS USED IN CONSTRUCTION.

FIRE SAFETY NOTES

1. CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE AND COORDINATE ALL DEMOLITION ASREQUIRED FOR ALL TRADES WHETHER INDICATED EXPRESSLY ONDEMOLITION DRAWINGS OR IN OTHER DIVISIONS.

2. AVOID ALL LOADS OR ACTIVITIES THAT MIGHT CRACK OR DAMAGEEXISTING FLOOR FINISHES.

3. TEMPORARY SHORING: REMOVE ALL UNUSED STEEL MEMBERS,PLATES, BRACKETS AND ALL APPURTENANCES AND PATCHMASONRY SURFACES TO MATCH EXISTING.

4. REMOVE ALL EXISTING WOOD FLOORING THAT IS BUCKLED,WARPED OR SEVERELY DAMAGED.

5. REMOVE ALL SPRINKLER, PLUMBING AND ANY INACTIVE PIPINGAND ALL ASSOCIATED HARDWARE, AS PER ARCHITECTURAL ANDPLUMBING DRAWINGS.

6. REMOVE UNUSED ELECTRICAL DEVICES AND ALL ASSOCIATEDCONDUIT.

7. MASONRY PATCH: ALL PATCHES SHOULD BE MADE WITH BRICK TOMATCH EXISTING WHERE POSSIBLE. CHOP OUT EXISTING BRICKOR CEMENTITIOUS FILL AS REQUIRED TO INSERT NEW BRICKS FORCONTINUOUS COURSING, TO MATCH EXISTING.

8. SALVAGED ITEMS: SALVAGE AND PROTECT ALL TERRAZZO TILE.REMOVE AND SALVAGE ALL MARBLE TREADS AND RISERS FORRE-USE. REMOVE AND SALVAGE ALL EMERGENCY LIGHTS, EXITLIGHTS, AND QUARTZ LIGHTS; REUSE PER RCP DRAWINGS.SALVAGE EXISTING ROOF DRAIN LEADERS FOR REUSE PERPLUMBING DRAWINGS. SALVAGE ALL OTHER MATERIALS ASSPECIFIED BY ARCHITECT.
