WHAT DO I STUDY? The course comprises a number of units of competency from the nationally accredited Rural Production Training Package (AHC). Units are delivered under topic areas such as:

Certificate IV in Wool classing

• Preparing fleece wool for classing

• Preparing skirtings and oddments

• Quality assurance

• Classing fleece wool

• Documenting the wool clip

• Determine wool classing strategies

• Managing wool harvesting operation including staff management

• Wool valuing and marketing

HOW IS THE COURSE DELIVERED?

Participants undertake the programs on a flexible, self-paced basis. On campus attendance is required for about 2 days/week by negotiation.

WHAT ARE THE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS? These courses have no specific entry requirements.

CAN I GET RECOGNITION FOR PREVIOUS STUDY/EXPERIENCE? You are able to gain recognition of skills and knowledge obtained through formal training, work experience and/or life experience. If you believe you are able to demonstrate the required level of competence in a unit you can apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) by contacting the Administrative Officer.

Where you have already successfully completed the same unit of competency, you are able to apply for Credit Transfer (CT) for that unit. No fees apply for CT.

WHEN DO I START? Participants are able to commence at almost any time by negotiation. Please contact the Administrative Officer to discuss.
