About this courseAutobody Repairers carry out smash repairs and maintenance work on all types of vehicles. They remove dents by metal finishing, straighten body chassis using state of the art alignment equipment, repair and refit corroded panels by fabricating body panels and fill minor dents with body filler.

Uniform/personal protective equipmentStudents to supply and wear/bring:

• Steel capped footwear that complies with Australian Safety Standards

• Safety glasses; overalls or cotton drill pants; short sleeve shirt;

• Pen, pencil, paper; 2 ring binder; and

• basic calculator

Work practiceSouth Metropolitan TAFE will work with the student in finding suitable work practice.

Students will undertake work practice as part of the normal delivery of the course.
