Serving Christ from the Heart of India June 12, 2010 Dear Friends of CICM, Greetings, love and prayers to you from Central India Christian Mission in the matchless name of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is our privilege to send you the news about how God is working through the ministry of CICM and to express our heartfelt gratitude to you for your continued partnership with us as we share the Gospel with the people of central and northern India and our neighboring countries. During May many of our coworkers at the Mission campus in Damoh have gone to visit their families in other parts of India. Because of the extreme heat this is the time we have only limited staff at our office. We would like to share with you some information about two of our significant ministries. Leadership Training: You may know that since the beginning of CICM we have focused on evangelism, church planting and leadership training. We place a high priority on training leaders to enter the unreached areaswithout equipped leaders we cannot be effective in evangelizing and planting churches. We currently have two facilities for leadership training. Central India Biblical Academy (CIBA) is located at the CICM campus in Damoh, Madhya Pradesh State, and has been training leaders for several years; Darjeeling International Biblical Academy (DIBA) located in Siliguri, in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal State, opened in August 2009. We focus on training the young men to be church planters and prepare them to go to the unreached areas. The 2009-2010 school year was a wonderful success. Our students are currently doing internships with their local preachers prior to their graduation. Here are a few highlights from the school year: We opened a prayer room on campus for our students. Together they prayed non-stop for almost 3,000 hours! We hired five new professors this year and finished the school year with 36 students. Some of the students will continue their education; most of them will go to unreached areas to plant churches. They are all excited to start their ministries. In addition to their academics, the students and staff enjoyed going to picnics, participating in cricket tournaments and being involved in different recreational activities throughout the school year. Children’s Home: Since opening in September 2005, Bal Bhavan has grown from 41 children to 82 children at the present time. During the past year many wonderful things have taken place at the children’s home. Seeing the children continue to grow and develop into wonderful boys and girls is a great blessing. Here are some highlights from the past year:

Serving Christ from the Heart of India

June 12, 2010

Dear Friends of CICM,

Greetings, love and prayers to you from Central India Christian Mission in the matchless name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We place a high priority on training leaders to enter the unreached areas—without equipped leaders we cannot be effective in evangelizing and planting churches.

Here are a few highlights from the school year:

We opened a prayer room on campus for our students.

We have 22 new babies in our nursery. Most are from our ministry to unwed mothers. God opened this door about a year ago and the news of CICM’s compassionate care for the unwed young ladies has spread throughout our area. Please pray for the infants and toddlers as they need much love and special care and for those who care for them.

Central India Academy, our school at Bal Bhavan, is providing a quality education for the nursery and kindergarten students up through our 4th graders. We added six new teachers to the staff and inaugurated a whole new wing with five new classrooms. The children did very well on their final exams and we are extremely proud of them.

Our children have their summer break in May and June. We are keeping them busy with art classes, dance and music lessons, sports activities, sewing and making jewelry, computer classes and extra English classes. They also recorded their first Praise and Worship CD and they are very excited about it!

Christmas celebrations at Bal Bhavan are very special with different activities such as carol singing, baking cookies, drama and giving gifts. We want the children to experience great joy because of the coming of Jesus.

We’ve been blessed that donors have provided funds for a new generator, a bus and a drilled well next to Bal Bhavan, all which were greatly needed.

We thank God for His continual hand of blessing over CIBA, DIBA and Bal Bhavan. We are grateful to God for connecting us with people like you. God is using you to make all of the ministries of CICM possible. Thank you for your love, prayers and support. We couldn’t do it without you.

With Grateful Hearts,

Ajai and Indu Lall, Josh and Lashi Howard and the CICM Team [email protected]

Note to Children’s Sponsors: Thank you for your continuous support for over

2,800 children in central and northern India and Nepal. Because of inflation and

exchange rate fluctuations in India, we are requesting an increase in the monthly

support to $18 a month per child. This is the first increase since 2006. On behalf

of the children, we ask that if possible, you consider helping us with this raise in

support beginning with the children’s school year in July 2010.
