The Central Hardin news team produces a taped news broadcast for the school each day. Broadcasts are played over the school closed circuit television system. The crew consists of students from all grade levels , with older students training younger students.

This was the first year for HCETV to carry live election coverage. CHHS students participated in this coverage using videoconferencing equipment recently purchased, operating cameras, and in the control room. HCECTV director Gina Ryan met with students to train them in reporting, exit polling and camera techniques. Video conferencing units were placed at party headquarters and at HCECTV’s studio so that show hosts could interact with students on the scene. Students also sent interviews and videos to HCECTV using smart phones.
