What is the Centennial Service Challenge?

• An initiative beginning in July 2014 to celebrate Lions’ 100 years of service

• Challenges clubs to participate in all four Global Service Action Campaigns:

Engaging Our Youth – August Sharing the Vision – October Relieving the Hunger – December/ January Protecting Our Environment – April

• Will benefit 100 million people by December 2017

• Patches will be awarded at the end of each fiscal year

Club Banner Patches

• Clubs must: Report activities related to the GSAC Use the Lions Online Service Activity Report (SAR)

• Patches are based on number of campaigns types reported • One patch per fiscal year

Different border color for each year

Number and type of gem stone to recognize level of participation

District Level Banner Patch• Awarded one patch to district each fiscal year• 50% or more of clubs in a district report participation in two or

more GSACs
