From 2011 to 2016, CENAM participated in the Joint Research Project on Formation Mechanism of Ozone, VOCs, and PM2.5 and Proposal of Countermeasure Scenario between Ehime University (and Mexican Government (INECC) under the support of SATREPS (JST) and JICA, where CENAM developed a BTEX (Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and ortho-, meta- and para- xylene) Certified Reference Material (CRM) in N2 cooperating with the National Metrology Institute of Japan (NMIJ). CENAM has developed CRMs of BTEX (2016) + LPG (propane, n-butane, both groups 2018) (with a nominal value of 1 µmol/mol level.
