The list of cementitious materials is published and updated periodically for reference primarily by Caltrans field
personnel and others involved in Caltrans projects.
State of California, Department of Transportation, Standard Specifications (May 2006), Section 90-2.01B, as
amended June 5, 2009, states: “No cementitious material shall be used in the work unless it is on the Department's
Pre-Qualified Products List at the time of mix design submittal.” Suppliers that intend to supply any cementitious
material product* to Caltrans will be added to this list by submitting the required information on the form located
on the "Form" tab of this document. Submit one completed form for each material. Information received by the
15th of any month will allow the material to be added to the list published on the 1st of the following month.

* N O T E : Rapid-strength hydraulic cements do not fall under the scope of this list and should continue to be
sampled and shipped per the the requirements of SSP 40-020.

next published list of Approved Cementitious Materials for use in Concrete. Appearance on the list does not relieve the supplier of the
responsibility to supply only materials that conform to the Department’s specifications.
