WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
CALL TO WORSHIP
Leader: We do not proclaim ourselves; we proclaim Jesus Christ as
Lord and ourselves as servants for Jesus’ sake.
People: For God has shone in our hearts to give knowledge of
the glory of God.
Leader: Sisters and brothers, praise the Lord!
People: The Lord’s name be praised!
OPENING PRAYER
HYMN #385 “All People That on Earth Do Dwell” OLD 100TH
PRAYER OF CONFESSION Leader: Even before we speak, God knows our wrongs. Yet our
repentance opens our hearts to God, who is waiting to
hear us and forgive us. Let us confess all that separates
us from God and others.
People: God who formed our inward parts and knows our hearts,
forgive us. Instead of acknowledging you as our God,

I believe in God the Father Almighty, PG. 35
maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ, his only Son our Lord;
Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost,
Born of the Virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, dead, and buried;
He descended into hell;
The third day he rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven,
And sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost,
The holy catholic church,
The communion of saints,
The forgiveness of sins;
The resurrection of the body;
And the life everlasting. Amen.

Faith Life SUNDAY, JUNE 3, 2018
Sisters and brothers in Christ, welcome to this time and space apart, where we can turn our focus from self to God and from fear to faith. May you sense God’s gentle touch. We hope you’ll join us following worship in Fellowship Hall for beverages, snacks, and fellowship.
ARE YOU NEW TO FAITH CHURCH? If this is your first time in worship with us here at Faith Church,
welcome! We want to get to know you, so be sure to sign the friendship registry when it is passed to you.
PRAYER CHAIN REQUESTS
Prayer messages may now be emailed directly to [email protected]. Messages can also be sent through a form on the Prayer Requests page of the church website. If you wish to be included in our Prayer Chain distribution list (or if you don’t think you are receiving messages), please contact the church office.
FATHER’S DAY CHOIR
A Ladies Choir will sing on Father's Day, June 17. Brian will have rehearsals for this after worship today, and again on June 10, from 11:15 to 11:45 AM. Any ladies who like to sing are welcome to join!
COMMUNION INCLUSION The small boxes on the serving plates with the communion bread

Cooks and helpers are also needed, from approx. 1:30 to 4:30 pm.
Because of possible nut allergies, please mark cookies that have
nuts in them. Sugar-free cookies are also appreciated. Drop them
off in the kitchen by noon of that Monday.
For more information, speak with Carolyn Baittinger or Zona
