Celebrating his family’s 100th year in the furniture industry, Bob Timberlake

launches Vintner’s Club, an elegant casual collection with soft lines, graceful

proportions and beautiful finishes.

High Point Furniture Market (April 2013)—With traditional forms, smaller proportions and a warm waxy finish, Vintner’s Club by Bob Timberlake for Century is a collection made

for today’s casual living. Mr. Timberlake’s eye for shape and scale give Vintner’s Club its interest. Delicate turnings and smaller proportions, offer updates to classic forms for today’s homes. “We wanted to create a collection that would work for homes around the country, not just at the beach or in the mountains,” says Bob Timberlake. “Vintner’s Club blends my love for those two places with classic shapes, and then we used the finishing capability of Cen-tury’s team in Hickory to create lots of differ-ent looks.” White ash solids and veneers along with wal-nut veneers mix throughout the collection to bring depth and character to the pieces. Shown in the stocked finish, Fawn, a waxy warm brown with moderate hand distressing, these pieces have the feel of gently worn an-tiques. Century also utilizes their palette of paint finishes to play up accents and add a bit of unexpected to the rooms.

“I am delighted to be launching Vintner’s Club in this his-toric year for my family,” says Bob Timberlake. “My grandfather had furniture in his veins, and so it continues that I too have furniture and furniture design in my veins 100 years later.” Alongside Vintner’s Club, Mr. Timberlake has also intro-

duced four new paint-ed pieces into Timber-lake Finds Collection, pieces that are unique and one of a kinds. Shown here is the Hy-drangea Chest. “People have been asking me for years why I have not painted on the furniture. We have always loved the idea, and so I have taken some of my fa-vourite subjects from T49-765 Apothecary Desk in English

my art and created four special chests that convey the details around me that I love.” Whether at home in the low country of South Carolina or the high country of Colorado, this collection speaks to you. With the charm and ease of a southern gentleman, Mr. Timberlake has once again created a collection that is at once refreshing and comfortable. “Vintner’s Club is a versatile collection of beautiful casu-al furniture ” says Comer Wear, Director of Marketing for Century Furniture. “The softer

silhouettes and classic forms are easy to live with and our offering of finishes allows you to create softer coastal palettes or rich, wood-toned rustic rooms. The beauty of Century is that we leave that choice up to you.”

A professional artist and designer in the American realist style, Bob Timberlake is renowned

for lifelike depictions of his rural North Carolina home. His 1990 The World of Bob Timberlake

home furnishings line pioneered the eclectic, lifestyle furniture look and remains the world's

best-selling furniture brand. In 2010, Mr. Timberlake was inducted into the American Associa-

tion of Furniture Maker's Hall of Fame.
