Missouri’s rich German ancestry will be presented in October, at the Annual DEUTSCH COUNTRY DAYS — the finest and most authentic living history in the Midwest. The educational, family-fun experience is held on Luxenhaus Farm, 18055 State Highway O, three miles northeast of Marthasville, Missouri (one hour west of St. Louis) 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM on Saturday & Sunday.

Did you know that the gold-domed Cathedral downtown was the dream of County Cavan native Father Bernard Donnelly? In the mid-1800s, he brought hundreds of Irish immigrants to KC to cut streets through KC’s high river bluffs.

Our purpose is to unite all Hispanics regardless of their social, economical and political background. At the same time, share the rich and colorful Hispanic culture with the Greater St. Louis area.

Visitors will be taken back to the traditions of the past. Listen, learn, and see history as it comes alive. See artisans and tradesmen dressed in 19th century attire demonstrating their trades and selling their wares. A large contemporary handmade craft area will also be featured.

Oktoberfest is held the first four weekends of October and has become a fall tradition for thousands of people. Each weekend there are special activities around town, held amid the spectacular fall colors of Missouri's most beautiful town. The Annual Arrow Rock Heritage Craft Festival

October The Annual Heritage Craft Festival will feature historical crafts and demonstrations including spinning, weaving, blacksmithing, broom- and basket-making, flint knapping, rug-hooking, quilting, candle-dipping, applebutter-making and many other 19th century arts & crafts.

With over 60 arts and crafts booths, exhibits and special attractions the annual Jour de Fete is the premier arts and crafts fair in the Midwest. The city, the first European settlement in Missouri, has long been home to artisans and craftsmen and its French Colonial atmosphere provides a perfect setting for this annual event

Today’s Festival of Nations has its origins in the International May Festival, first held in St. Louis in 1920. Organized by the International Institute of St. Louis, the May Festival was one of the earliest multicultural celebrations in our nation.
