KEYNOTESoftware and the Future of the Services IndustryDr. Vishal Sikka, CEO, InfosysThe world around us is being transformed by software, empowering enterprises and people to achieve incredible things. As businesses seek to leverage the opportunities created by this transformation, they can benefit from a dual strategy: rethink and renew existing systems and landscapes, while also building new solutions to create value in new ways. This must be achieved within the underlying fabric of a culture of continuous learning, meaningful engagement and deep sense of purpose. The future of the technology services industry lies in leading the execution of this strategy with innovation, technology - like automation and artificial intelligence, and talented people who are amplified by technology, imagination and the ecosystem they bring with them. This will result in higher productivity, greater innovation, deeper relevance of every individual and trigger the beginning of a human revolution. This enabling of people - to do more with less for more - will form the basis of the next generation of services. And the next generation services industry.

PANEL DISCUSSIONIn partnership with IBMCloud – a great leveller, disrupter and business accelerator for MSMEsThe Cloud is disrupting traditional enterprise business models. Old economy businesses took years to grow their customer bases, build brands, roll out new products & services, expand to global markets, and monetise services. On the other hand, start-ups and SMBs, which are early adopters of cloud, have grown their user bases in minutes and monetised services at a phenomenal pace – thus disrupting old business models. Thanks to cloud, start-ups can set up their IT infrastructure in minutes, and at a fraction of the cost of setting up a captive data center. The cloud has been a great leveller, enabling start-ups and SMBs to compete with mega corporations that have been around for decades. In fact, the large corporations view these disrupters as major threats.Confirmed Panellists1. A S Rajgopal, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, NxtGen Datacenter & Cloud Technologies

SEMINARIn partnership with SD Card AssociationEmbedding Trust in the Mobile WorldVijay Kumar Balasubramanian, Senior Product Manager at Identiv Inc.The mobile devices around the world are fast emerging as the de facto source not only for information consumption and sharing but a multitude of day to day critical interactions.Analyst stats reveal that manufacturers will ship more than 1 billion Android devices in 2014. With this surge comes concerns in the security to the point where mobile devices will be the biggest security risk in 2014. Amidst BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) programs and general increase in smart phone usage, employees' smartphones and tablets will be a major security risk for individuals and enterprises alike. Unfortunately, a majority of popular applications have security holes just waiting to be exploited. The other major ask from the industry is one concerning user identity. From multiple badges and ID cards to access premises to countless usernames and passwords to access information, a typical user simply has too many identities. Once again the mobile device gets into the mix in many of these use cases resulting in the user identity getting incredibly vulnerable. From a practical standpoint, as last year's Target data breach showed, malicious hackers continue targeting retailers for personal information. This now extends to mobile e-commerce even as ecommerce struggles continue on mobile. In the midst of this growth there has emerged the need for trust; Trust in the identity of the user; Trust in the service. A technology that marries security with user friendliness like the SD Technology’s additional security features developed by SD Association can help achieve the twin targets of security and usability. Embedding trust in the mobile world would quell these rising concerns.

PANEL DISCUSSIONDisruptive technology in the Healthcare sectorOne of the biggest challenges impeding the implementation of IT in the healthcare sector is the high cost of technology. It is difficult to measure ROI for initial investments (CAPEX). For instance, the cost of Hospital Information Systems (HIS) is prohibitively high. There are silos of information, disconnected and outdated systems, and patient records are yet to be digitized. Thus Healthcare lags behind most sectors in the adoption of technology. The Panelists will discuss their strategies to tackle these challenges. There are technologies such as Federated Clouds and SaaS-based solutions. Panelists will also discuss advances in the application of mobility for telemedicine, and personal healthcare - wearable technology products. A Case Study from a leading hospital will be included in this discussion.According to Gartner, Health care providers in India are expected to spend $1.08 billion US Dollars on IT products and services in 2014, an increase of 4 percent over 2013. IT services, which includes consulting, implementation, IT outsourcing and business process outsourcing, will be the largest overall spending category throughout the forecast period within the health care providers sector.

Next Era of Technology Advancements for Businesses and ConsumersKumud Srinivasan, President, IntelOver the years, technology has played a critical role in enriching the lives of people and transforming businesses for higher impact. However, benefits of technology have only reached a fraction of the global population and businesses. Ahead of us are abundant opportunities and possibilities in ways technology can change the way we work, live and connect. We strongly believe emerging markets will drive & experience the maximum impact where technology will become a key enabler for growth of business and enhancing quality of lives. As computing becomes integral part of our lives with devices that are ingestible and injectable, the enterprises will benefit the most by making technology as the centerpiece of connecting and providing solutions to their customers.

Build a Digital enterprise without owning IT infrastructureA.S. Rajgopal, Managing Director, NxtGen Datacenter & Cloud TechnologiesExcerpt – Existing IT infrastructure consumes between 70 – 80% of the enterprise IT budget, leaving little for new-age application roll-outs to build an agile digital enterprise. On the other hand, the infrastructure is getting more complex by day, handling every day security threats, complying to regulatory frame-works, ubiquitous computing and managing un-balanced work-loads. We have been working with our customers to eliminate infrastructure layer challenges, leading them to a digital enterprise without actually owning and managing IT infrastructure.

PANEL DISCUSSIONInternet of things – transforming lives and businessMuch is being written about the Internet of Things these days. IoT or IoE is really about networks, devices, people and processes – and how these are all getting interconnected. The enabling technologies are mobility, cloud computing, big data analytics and social – a collective term for this is SMAC.But IoT technology will require heavy engineering, technical expertise and of course, plenty of funding for research. No single organization will be capable of providing an end-to-end IoT solution. Rather, it will involve an ecosystem of players offering different components, at different layers of the stack. Government and Policy makers will need to frame guidelines to protect a user’s privacy and to prevent misuse. The innovations and breakthrough technologies for IoT will come from the start-ups, with funding from venture capitalists. These start-up will be deemed as “disrupters” and their IP and companies may eventually be acquired by IT behemoths or other disrupters such as Google, Salesforce and Amazon. What we are witnessing right now are partnerships between consumer electronics companies and the start-ups offering this innovation. Panellists will offer perspectives on what it would take for IoT technology to become mainstream and affordable. They will talk about current and future applications in verticals like manufacturing and healthcare. How will IoT transform business? How should organizations prepare?
