Greetings, Continuous Curriculum School is a K-8 choice school dedicated to a strong sense of team work and active parent involvement. CCS teachers have been working for years educating themselves about curriculum, standards, instructional strategies and technology. Expectations of students are high and children benefit from the small, closely knit culture they find here. Our parents commit to actively participating in their child’s class and school. This happens in a variety of ways but is an expectation of all families. CCS has an alternative calendar that spreads the 180 days of student time from August to the end of June. Our belief is that shorter vacations help students retain information resulting in less instructional time lost to review. Individually and together we work to provide the very best to all our students. Sincerely, Steve Pointer, Principal East Valley School District Mission Statement: East Valley School District will inspire all students to achieve academic excellence and to become responsible citizens.

Indicators of our school’s success

“This alternative school calendar helps maintain student interest in learning. When periods of classroom learning are followed by regular vacations, interest remains high to the end of the period. Refreshed by the breaks, teachers and students return ready to work. All participants learn to work hard for a period of time and then to rest and regenerate for the next block of academic instruction.” - Molly A. Carroll, National Association for Year Round Education

Continuous Curriculum School provides an environment for student success by establishing active partnerships with parents, families, and the community. All students have the opportunity to achieve their full potential while becoming life-long learners and responsible, productive citizens. Our families are the real reason behind the success of CCS. The time and energy volunteered allows staff to focus on the job for which they were hired . . . teaching. We don’t just enroll students; we enroll families.
