CCMOORE PRODUCT REVIEWS BY Tim Richardson Enzyme-Treated Liver Powder – What a legend!

Pharmaceutical grade pre-digested liver powder is one of the great bait additive legends in carp fishing and one additive that just goes on working for big fish again and again, year in year out. It is so good that certain bait companies flagship baits are built around its potency – but you can do even better with this CC Moore product by exploiting it in all kinds of diverse and unique ways for yourself to skyrocket your bait’s nutritional stimulation and natural attraction. It is extremely effective and successful when used in pastes in high concentrations and when applied as an additive in making bait soaks and dips; and it can be added to liquid foods to seriously concentrate natural potency and nutritional attraction! As an alternative tip try mixing it into your flavours before adding them to your particles for instance. Or maybe try mixing it up with liquid liver, liquid betaine, liquid yeast and molasses when forming pastes based on a 50 / 50 mix of LT94 fish meal and calcium caseinate… I recommend it very highly for any application or bait format even where it seems like the smell, taste or over all palatability might not suit a bait recipe. You can also use it in very sweet fruity type homemade boilies, pellets and pastes alongside CC Moore sweet fruit enhancer and Ultrasweet - sweet fruity liver baits are highly unusual these days! You can also use it to produce a new version of any of the CC Moore boilie base mixes and other mixes – such as the weed beaters, the instant spod mixes and so on. Very few anglers exploit pre-digested liver enough – I recommend you try it in very high levels in free baits to really boost them. Personally I would make free baits so they are not boiled or steamed at all. Maybe just air dry your paste baits or simply scald them – then dust them in pre-digested liver powder and betaine for instance. It’s an excellent choice along with poultry protein for boosting milk protein baits made as high attract, highly nutritionally-stimulating baits!

Hydrolysed Poultry Protein In my opinion this is one of the most potent, potentially legendary bait additives to become widely available to modern carp anglers. It replaces the previously seriously effective and successful CC Moore squid liver extract powder which is discontinued. This product does same job and is equally versatile in its uses and applications; but works even more powerfully producing even better catch results!

Tip: Why not try an alternative, seriously potent (natural), very aromatic bait soak prepared using Feedstim XP and boosted with hydrolysed poultry protein, enzyme-treated liver powder, Feedstim powder and betaine? It’s great on pellets too but don’t neglect its use in particle preparations or when boosting stick, spod, method and ground bait mixes? It makes great pastes too – maybe try it alongside Belachan powder, fermented shrimp powder or squid powder or even as part of a paste that contains acid 90 mesh casein, calcium caseinate and pre-digested fish meal! If you make your pastes with Super Slop and Liquid Super Slop, you know that you are delivering an armoury of feeding triggers and attractors that are truly exceptional! So try such a paste as carefully moulded hook wraps – not merely baits wraps; and reap the big rewards by fooling those warier big fish!

Blood Plasma Powder This ingredient really excited me when I began using and experimenting with it in different homemade recipes and different bait applications. I really got to start appreciating its enormous value in carp fishing baits! This product has got to be one of the very best, but least well exploited ingredients or additives used by carp anglers today. So listen up; education is needed because it is one of THE most useful and effective ingredients at enabling your baits to perform at peak functional and nutritional effectiveness!

This nutritional ingredient is extremely valuable in binding baits without sealing them and locking them up so that it really maximises bait performance and leak-off. It allows baits to be bound but not hard right throughout, unlike egg and albumen-bound baits, and provides a soft middle in baits that allow bait substances to fully rehydrate and leak off stimulation and attraction right from the centre of any heated, steamed, cooked or even totally un-heated paste-type baits. Just one recommendation I’d really like to make here is for you to exploit it instead of egg albumen or liquid eggs in making boilies, pellets or pastes whether using your own homemade recipes or any of the CC Moore base mixes. You might like to try it in a gel bait mixed with crunchy kelp meal and spirulina, lactalbumin, powdered jelly powder or gelatine with CC Moore Sweet Fruit Enhancer, Feedstim XP, Liquid Glycerine, Liquid Betaine, Corn Steep Syrup and Meat amino Compound for a really alternative bait which really is great in summer or winter! Although it is recommended used at 40grams per kilogram of dry mix you can exploit it a far higher levels to bind numbers of the most soluble additives and additives and liquids in the whole CC Moore range - to create staggering success rates!! As it is water-soluble it allows all the stimulation and attraction of your baits to most effectively reach the water column and disperse – thus optimising the job of your bait in pulling pre-excited fish to your hook baits!

It helps in binding really open, course-textured homemade baits.

You can bind all kinds of ingredients and additives together in very effective ways – In this case loads of crunchy kelp meal with hydrolysed poultry protein meal… Experiment to combine all kinds of additives and ingredients that need or seriously benefit from an effective and nutritious, water-soluble binder.

Calcium Caseinate

This exceptionally high quality, human-grade, water-soluble milk protein is an essential part of nutritional food type baits for both instant and long-term impacts on fish. This highly versatile, high nutritional value ingredient is legendary in baits for big carp and is used by bait companies all around the world. It is a free-flowing fine powder that has a smooth creamy aroma that carp love making it extremely palatable. It is an excellent partner to acid casein in base mixes alongside other milk ingredients. Being less dense than caseins it is very useful for producing soluble, light-weight baits but it is very much under-exploited in terms of ground baits and stick mixes and other applications where its 96 percent protein is of exceptional value in producing instant nutritional attraction and stimulation. It is nutritionally stimulating and has an attractive amino acid profile making it superb for carp and many other species. Going back for many decades calcium caseinate has been used in boilies, pastes and pop-up mixes in varying levels depending on the buoyancy, density and solubility required. It is extremely effective as a water-soluble glue for many application; I’ve used it for years along with sodium caseinate and other highly soluble extremely nutritional ingredients and additives for paste baits of more alternative, unusual kinds of baits where I am looking to increase a bait’s sensory impact in particular. It may be used at 4 or 5 ounces per pound in base mixes and even 6 or 7 ounces in buoyant baits.

Lactalbumin Many young anglers may not realise the incredible impact using lactalbumin has in big carp baits, but it is among the very best ever used- right since the early days of high nutritional value bait design!

Lactalbumin was one of the first milk fractions or extracts I ever used in my homemade baits and I found it’s an instant-acting winner! The fact that it makes baits extremely nutritionally stimulating and attractive while making them hard and very importantly for me, making them very nicely soluble with outstanding leak-off actions, gives me the kind of properties and qualities I really want in my baits! Excellent both for big fish or big catches of numbers of fish, this product can be used in bait recipes or many other applications to produce bait soaks and dips and in all kinds of particle and sea food and meat preparations. It can also be dusted onto cooling boilies and added to all forms of wet baits to boost nutritional attractions, palatability and nutritional profiles etc. This human grade milk product provides the best quality profile of essential amino acids for fish among any milk products and has a protein content of over 88 percent. This fine white powder has a very stimulating and attractive creamy taste and aroma. Lactalbumin is formed from 2 protein forms carp are instantly attracted to; lactalbumins and lacto globulins that fish can gain maximum nutritional benefit from.

Over the decades lactalbumin has been used to significantly raise the quality and effectiveness of big fish baits. An inclusion of 25 percent in base mixes will significantly improve results. Lactalbumin adds smooth binding qualities so using even a 10 percent inclusion rate is extremely beneficial in making nutritionally-attractive baits. It also adds outstanding hardening properties to baits while allowing them to remain soluble - and so perform at peak efficiency! Use in every application you can to seriously boost the nutritional attraction of your baits. (Note: Lactalbumin is a well-proven big fish ingredient despite not having a very noticeable aroma – for us humans like me anyway!)

Lactalbumin is a really effective confidence-boosting BIG FISH ingredient – so try it ASAP in ALL kinds of recipes, soaks, ground baits and liquids etc!

Liquid Shellfish Concentrate

A very much appreciated new product from CC Moore this year – I’ve found sourcing really effective shellfish products has been a challenge over the years; this is really potent stuff so get on it NOW and appreciate it’s power!

Homemade CC Moore green-lipped mussel-packed baits in a dip based on Liquid Shellfish concentrate and Liquid Feedstim XP plus betaine – awesome! For more functionally-effective, more resilient harder hook baits, instead of using egg albumin, try a combination of CC Moore blood plasma powder and whey protein concentrate or lactalbumin – each are exceptional!

Feedstim XP Liquid suggestion

You might make a soluble homemade paste maybe rich in Fish Meal LT94, Hydrolysed Poultry Protein, Caseins, Meggablend Red, Feedstim Powder sieved crunchy kelp and GLM mixed with liquid betaine and Feedstim XP Liquid Extract etc. Use this as paste bait on the hair right next to your buoyant baits… Personally I find coating my hooks in paste that is easily soluble and containing larger granules and pieces etc really helps entice and fool the big more wary fish.

Feedstim Powder This is the additive which I regard as the most uniquely potent dry product in the entire CC Moore range! It often looks like it has darker flecks due to being able to absorb water extremely effectively – like Belachan and Fermented Shrimp Powders – so why not harness this property in your baits to VERY GREAT effect!

My suggestion: Try exploiting it with Belachan Powder or Fermented Shrimp Powder in high levels…I really like the use of Feedstim XP powder and Fermented Shrimp Powder together and prefer this for various beneficial reasons, in many boilie mixes and in particular to make awesome naturally instant pastes. You might like to base yours on Meggablend Red with additional Squid Powder along with Feedstim XP and Fermented Shrimp, or maybe based on calcium caseinate, casein and lactalbumin for example – why not try them! To boost pastes, why not hit fish on multiple levels and via different pathways by using any of a choice of CC Moore goodies? For instance add betaine and Ultrasweet plus Fructose Concentrate and Lactose Concentrate B+ and Cyprivit at the levels recommended on this site! Try making a liquid for your paste by combining a 20 percent ratio of Feedstim XP, Liquid Belachan, Liquid Salmon and Krill Extract, Super Cherry Amino with the new Sweet Fruit Enhancer (plus a little Talin) – all neat! Note: Using combined sweeteners - especially potent enhancers, instant energy hits, and nutritional feeding triggers such Ultra Honey Essence, you’ll have some VERY neat results indeed…
