Catherine Parks Centre College Mission: The Charlotte Bobcats will bring positive and lasting change to our community through dynamic programming and a commitment to social responsibility in the areas of education, wellness and the fight against hunger. The Charlotte Bobcats Organization operates within the National Basketball Association and houses Cats Care, a department dedicated to improving the Charlotte community through donations, contributions, and appearances. For three months I worked as an intern within this department, which allowed me to gain vital experience in a professional atmosphere while also giving me the opportunity to actively participate in the development of the incredible city of Charlotte. Community service events allowed me to meet people of all ages and backgrounds while also enhancing my relationships with fellow interns, co- workers, and players. The location of my internship within the Time Warner Cable Arena allowed me to get a first Hand look at numerous exciting events outside of my department. My internship was an extraordinary opportunity that helped me develop my professional skills while forming beneficial relationships for my future. My time with the Bobcats shaped my career goals as I now aspire to run a business that is able to have a positive, lasting impact on its surrounding community.
