Abstract:TakingthreedimensionaldesignofchannelsinthewaterconservancyandhydropowerindustryastheobjectofstudybasedonsecondarydevelopmenttechnologyofCATIA,thetheoryandengineeringpracticeofthreedimensionaldesignofwaterconservancyandhydropowerwereconsidetedtodevelopapracticalapplicationprogramofthreedimensionaldesignofchannelswithhighdegreeautomationbyCombiningCAAdevelopmenttechnologywithCATIAsoftware.Thisapplicationisexpectedtosolvechanneldesignproblemsinthewaterconservancyandhyclropowerindustry,andtheresultsofitsdevelopmenthavebeenappliedtothethreedimensionaldesignofthechannelsinSouthtonorthWaterDiveisionProject.Thepracticeofchanneldesignshowsthatthismethodcanreducetheworkload,shortenthecycle,andreducethedifficultyofchannelengineeringdesign.Itcansavetimeandhumanresourcecostforwaterconservancyandhydropowerdesignorganizationswithensuredqualityandquantity,aswellasprovideareferenceforsecondarydevelopmentofotherindustries.Keywords:channel;secondarydevelopment;componentapplicationarchitecture(CAA);threedimensionaldesign;computeraidedthreedimensionalinteractiveapplication(CATIA)
