1. Registration for CCD for 2013-2014 is open, and we encourage ALL parents to register their children! We have classes from K-12 grades, and we have brand new materials for our students this year! Please come & see Mari at the CCD office from M-F, 1-6 pm to register AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, because once the classes start, we will not be able to take any more registrations! +++ Favor de registrar sus niños para el catecismo del año 2013-2014 en la oficina de CCD! Cada año, sus hijos deben de recibir el catequesis, y tenemos materiales nuevos para este año. La oficina de CCD está abierta de lunes a viernes, 1-6 pm. Háganlo LO MAS PRONTO POSIBLE, por favor, porque no registraremos a los niños durante el tiempo de la doctrina una vez que iniciemos!

2. Rachel’s Vineyard is a retreat that helps men and women who have been involved in an abortion in the past to

heal from the trauma. The next retreat will take place from Sept. 13-15 at the Benedictine Monastery in Rio Grande City. The cost is $135 for room, board, & materials, but we want no one to stay away because of financial strain. We’ll work with you! 4. Our Thursday evening English Bible study group will begin a new 24-session study program on the Gospel of

Matthew in September! Everyone who is interested should contact Angie in the office to pre-register and order their course packet (from $25—$30) by the deadline on Saturday, August 24.

5. DIVINA VOLUNTAD …. miércoles, Agosto 28,2013 a las 10:00 A.M+++ DIVINE WILL: FRIDAY, AUGUST 30 AT 5:30 PM. 6. La Llama de Amor tendrá su Rosario de la Llama de Amor a las 6 pm el lunes, 2 Septiembre con Misa a las 7 pm. 7. RICA iniciará el lunes, 9 de Septiembre a las 7 pm para personas mas que 7 años de edad que no están bautizadas.

El programa de RICA les prepara para poder recibir el Bautismo, la Primera Comunión, y la Confirmación en la Vigilia Pascual el Sábado Santo. Favor de registrarse por llamar a la oficina. +++ RCIA will begin on Monday, Sept. 9 for those 7 years old & older who are not baptized. RCIA prepares persons who finish the program to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, First Communion, & Confirmation at the Easter Vigil Mass on Holy Saturday. Call the office to register.

8. Our diocese will begin a 3 year Lay Ministry Formation Program to prepare the lay faithful to serve in various

ministries in their parishes, and to expand their knowledge of the Faith and their pastoral skills in a specific ministry. Please contact Fr. Alfonso if you are interested! +++ Nuestra diócesis iniciará un curso de 3 años de Formación para Ministerios Láicos que preparará los fieles a server en varios ministerios en sus parroquias, y aumentará su entendemiento de la Fe y su abilidad pastoral en un ministerio específico. 9. Calling all musicians! Our 11 am choir is looking for new members! Anyone who plays an instrument or loves to

sing (well...) is invited to contact Angie in the office to leave their contact info., or to stay for choir practice after Mass!

10. In order to avoid conflicts in scheduling rooms for meetings, we are now using a form to reserve rooms in the

Ark. Please fill one out in the office to reserve a room. +++ Para evitar conflictos en el uso de los cuartos, usaremos una forma para reservar los cuartos del Arca. Favor de llenar una forma en la oficina para reservar un cuarto.

11. We still need volunteers to spend an hour with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament on Tuesdays between 7am-5pm.
