Tools for Communicating Healthy Eating
MyPlate
• Rule of thumb: use materials found to be good teaching tools for audience.
• MyPyramid materials can still be used—no expiration date, same food pattern as MyPlate.
• Try using MyPlate to generate interest, spark your audience to think about what put on their plates.
• MyPlate—simple reminder to eat healthfully.
Milk group is now the Dairy group.
Fortified soy beverages are included.
Meat & Beans group is now called Protein Foods
