Distribution WellAccording to the Code of Conduct “Sewerage. Outdoor Networks and Structures” SP 32.13330.2012 the most polluted part of superficial runoffs (formed during rainfalls, snow melting and road surface washing) should be discharged to the treatment facilities. For most of the Russian Federation residential areas these conditions are met based on calculating the intake of runoffs from low-intensive regularly repeated rains. If there are no fixed requirements to treatment of the 100% annual effluent it is recommended to use FloTenk-RK distribution well which ensures feeding the rated amount of polluted effluent to the treatment facilities, and conditionally purified effluent is directed to the by-pass line. Application of a distribution well ensures regulatory rated load to the treatment facilities and, what is no least important, reduces the treatment facilities costs.

ManholeFloTenk-KS manhole is designed for ensuring access to the underground utilities, shut-off valves and other plumbing installations.

Rotatable and Inline WellsFloTenk-KP rotatable well is installed in places of flow variation and also in places of different-diameter pipelines connection. FloTenk-KL inline well is installed on straight-line segments of the network at distances regulated by SP 32.13330.2012 and also in places where pipe inclinations and pipe diameters change. The purpose of these sewage manholes is to provide the access to the sewer networks for servicing (unclogging, water sampling).

FloTenk-PU is a polyurethane insert-tray for all well types. It is manufactured of multilayer polyurethane, including flared ends; thus effluent floatability is improved by 30%. Polyurethane is extremely resistant to the aggressive and abrasive wastewater impact, it ensures complete waterproofing. Due to the flared ends the channel sleeves can be connected to either smooth or corrugated pipes of PVC, polyethylene, polypropylene and other types of sewer pipes. Also the product can be installed on a concrete foundation.

Thus production of articles with layers of different density and with required performance specifications is ensured.The material used is solid or foamed polyurethane obtained by mixing components in various proportions depending on the technical requirements. Also the material can be reinforced with fiberglass fabric or fiberglass. Operating PrincipleRunoff water system often called “storm sewer” is a complex of engineering structures providing for intake, treatment and disposal of rain and melt water and road washings from residential areas and industrial sites.FloTenk integrated treatment system of runoff (rain and melt) effluent is a system of facilities which ensures meeting the parameters allowed for spew to municipal sewage, reservoirs of general-use, recreational, and commercial fishing purpose for the suspended matters and oil products factors in the treated effluents.Modular construction of ТМ FloTenk equipment provides for assembly of the wastewater treatment system to a wide range of performance specifications and set objectives.Runoff water treatment facilities include a sand-master unit, oil-water separator, sorption unit, polishing

unit, distribution well, sampling well, accumulation tank, and UV decontaminator.In the basis of the first treatment stage is the accumulation tank and a sand-

master unit; they provide for collecting the rated volume of rain water and depositing various suspended solids.

At the second and third stages of treatment removal of the residual suspended solids

of minor fall diameter takes place as well as mechanically emulsified oil products and grease bleeding. This stage is ensured by the oil-water separating unit. Coalescing modules, which are thin-layer corrugated plates, are installed in the oil-water separator. While streaming through the coalescing modules the flow speed changes thus leading to

dissolved mineral oils scaling off and subsidence of suspended solids with further fixing of the oil drops and breaking off the enlarged particles to the surface. Grease and oil form a joint layer on the vessel surface. Also it is possible to equip the oil-water separator with a cellular polymer filter. Oil-water separator is equipped with a sensor which controls the level of the floated oil products.Sorption unit, polishing unit and UV-decontaminator ensure the fourth and the fifth rainwater runoff treatment stages. A composite material or carbon composites are used as a sorbent. At these stages deep polishing and bacteria disinfection of effluents are performed.With capacity of the storm sewer treatment up to 120 liters/sec it is possible to reduce the overall plant size due to installation of all the elements in one body.

Method of Rainfall and Melt Water Runoffs TreatmentIn FloTenk rainfall and melt water runoffs treatment systems both mechanical and physical-chemical methods of treatment are used. In the basis of the method there is reduction of the effluent flow speed, separation due to gravitation forces and thin-layer setting out with coalescent effect. The coalescent effect consists of enlargement of grease and oil particles fixing on hydrophobic surfaces with further enlarged particles’ breaking off with the fluid flow and floating up the water surface in the tank. Physical and chemical method lies in adsorption. During adsorption the oil products being in the thin emulsified and dissolved condition are absorbed by the surface of the solid sorbent.

Concept Diagram АRainfall runoffs move to FloTenk-OP sand-master unit where the suspended particles and solids sediment on the vessel bottom and effluents move to the next treatment module. In FloTenk-OM oil-water separator grease and oils are extracted from the effluents due to the coalescent effect. At the watertreatment output the water moves to FloТenk-КК sampling well equipped with a butterfly control valve and meant for treated water sample taking. This system provides for treatment of rainfall runoffs and achieving the suspended solids rate up to 20 mg/l and oil products up to 0.3 mg/l.

Concept Diagram BIn case it is necessary to treat the rainfall runoffs and achieve the disposal rate for the commercial fishing reservoirs then a FloTenk-SB sorption unit is installed. In the sorption unit there takes place removal of dissolved oil products. The output pollution rate is 3 mg/l for suspended solids and 0.05 mg/l for oil products.

Concept Diagram DIn compliance with the Code of Practice “Sewage. Public Utilities” SP 32.13330.2012 it is necessary to treat the first, most polluted effluent portions. In the absence of requirements to 100% treatment of the annual effluent it is recommended to apply FloTenk-RK distribution well, which provides for supply of the calculated value of the polluted runoff to the watertreatment system and clean-contaminated runoff is directed along the bypass line. Application of the distribution well ensures the design load on the effluent treatment facilities and, what is nor least important, reduces the costs thereof.

Accumulation TankProbabilistic nature of atmospheric fallout and extreme instability of the rainfall effluent require averaging of its flow and composition before supply for treatment. In order to reduce the size of the watertreatment facilities and supply of the most contaminated part of the effluents for treatment it is necessary for the residential and first group industrial territories’ runoffs discharge and treatment schemes to provide for installation of flow splitting chambers and accumulation tanks. FloTenk-ENA accumulation tank is installed for the intake and averaging of the effluents; it provides for reducing the size of the treatment system. In the cases where the effluent level is higher than the rated one the water level in the accumulation tank goes up, therefore accumulation of the sewage volleys takes place. Upon the intake of the surface runoffs the water level in the accumulation tank decreases.

Sand-Master UnitFloTenk-OP sand-master unit is designed for fallaway of suspended solids of fall diameter under 0.2 mm/sec, coarse sand and undissolved light ends from the runoff water.Operating principle of the sand-master unit is based on gravitation affecting the solids which sink to the tank bottom and are later removed. Double-chamber sand-master unit is designed for treatment of effluents with elevated concentration of suspended solids and undissolved light ends. Therefore two servicing wells should be provided for: the first one is for the base sediment removal, the send one is for removal of oil products.

FloTenk-OPT tangential sand catcher is recommended for use when solids concentration is high (over 2000 mg/l).Operating principle of the sand catcher unit is based on fluid circulation inside the plant and tangential supply of the fluid to the barrel shell. This method provides for fallaway of up to 90% of sand; at the same time possible organic pollutants do not settle out. Sediment removal is performed with submersible or self-priming pumps. Installation of sediment detachment with a compressor device is possible. Tangential sand catcher system can be equipped with a sludge dewatering unit, automatic controls for start/stop of the drain pumps; it is individually assembled for each specific case.

Oil-Water SeparatorFloTenk-OM oil-water separators are used in the assembly of the surface runoff treatment plants at fuel filling stations, storage sites, etc.In the oil-water separator unsupported and mechanically emulsified oil products are separated from the effluents.There are two modifications of oil-water separators production: units with coalescent modules and units with polymer directional filters. In case of sorbent application in the polishing unit it is necessary to use the oil-water separator with polymer filters. When extraction of highly concentrated suspended solids and various oil fractions is required it is expedient to apply filling with coalescent modules.

Sorption BlockFloTenk-SB sorption block is a fiberglass vessel filled with hydrofuge sorbent. This composite material is produces on the basis of nature aluminosilicate. The sorbent is kept in the bottom part of the vessel.The sorbent provides for advanced wastewater treatment: achieve oil concentration to 0.05 mg/l, suspended solids concentration – to 3 mg/l. Other types of sorbents can be used for the filling (activated carbon, zeolite, mineral stone shchungite, fabric filters). The choice of the inner filling depends on the treatment conditions. When advanced wastewater treatment of slightly contaminated territories is required or in the absence of maintenance service it is recommended to apply fabric filters. Application of such filters is feasible for moderate concentrations of oil products in rainwater. In cases of operating the watertreatment facilities at industrial enterprises of various assignments sorbent should be used for filling.

Integrated Treatment SystemFor storm runoff treatment under medium loads (to 120 l/sec) it is recommended to use FloTenk-OP-OM-SB Integrated Treatment System. For runoff treatment at car-wash stations FloTenk-OP-BP-OP-OM-EN Integrated Treatment System is used.The plant is designed for disposal from water such contaminants like suspended solids, sand, oil products, and synthetic surface active substances. The integrated system is a buried base unit which can be installed under a roadway; therefore the system can be efficiently applied in the conditions of limited space. Such auxiliary components as an air-blower, a sediment dehydrator, a flocculent dosing station, and (where necessary) an effluent polishing unit are placed in the utility services room of the car-washing plant or in a separate container

FloTenk OP-BP-OP-OM-EN base plant consists of five units: А – Double-chamber sand-master unit. Designed  for extraction of  sand and other suspended solids  from water. В – Aerotank flotation unit. Designed for extraction of synthetic surface active substances from water. The unit is supplied with disk aerators; air supply is performed by air-blowers. Under aeration conditions synthetic surface active substances are extracted in the form of foam on the water surface. To prevent excess of foam the system is equipped with an anti-foaming agent. In case of exceeded concentration of synthetic surface active substances dosing of hypochlorite is performed to the section in order to neutralize these substances. С – Coagulant and flocculent dosing chamber. For efficient separating of fine suspended solids from water and especially of oil products an essential pre-condition is application of coagulant and flocculent. Compound feeding is performed from the dosing and preparation station located in the engineering and service room. Coagulant optimal dose is 0.2 ml of coagulant per 1 liter of waste water. Blending of water and reacting substance is carried out by method of fine-bubble aeration through a tubular diffuser.

Polishing Unit Should it be necessary to feed water to the service recycling water supply of the car-wash station a fine-purification unit is applied.

FloTenk BD. The system consists of pressure membrane filters and operates entirely in the automatic mode. Integrated automated device performs regular washing. General power consumption of the unit does not exceed 7 kW at capacity up to 5 m3/hr.

D – Secondary setting drainage. Designed for ensuring flocculation and setting-out processes. Fractionation takes place already after the five-minute setting-out. Entire settlement tales place after thirty-minute setting-out. The section is equipped with a sloping bottom and a sludge removal pump. The sludge is fed to the sack dehydrator located in the engineering and utility service room. E – Filter. The section is equipped with a sponge filter for mechanical rejection of sediment which has not settled in the final setting drainage. Replacement of the filter is performed when the float water level gauge is actuated. Filtration is performed by the filter external surface. Water drainage is performed either by gravity or with the help of a submersible pump.

Infiltration Block

The system consists of one or several tunnel modules and two end plugs. It bears load up to 3.5 tons/m2. The system is conveniently assembled depending on the objectives and site conditions. The modules can be arranged in one or in several lines. Pairwise joint (Twin) is possible. Module weight is 10 kg – no hoisting equipment is required. 

Infiltration block is an ideal solution for rainwater disposing from industrial and trade sites and is designed for assembly of various infiltration systems. Simplicity of joining the blocks provides for 3D building-up of the system.Overall volume is not restricted. Unit weight is 11 kg  –  no hoisting  equipment  is  required  for construction. Unit volume is 300 liters – excellent drainage properties. Each unit replaces 800 kg of gravel chippings, 36 m of drain pipe. Bears up to 60 tons weight.

OPERATION PRINCIPLEOne-vessel sequence batch reactors are designed for effluents biological treatment with activated sludge. Thanks to the batch mode principle the system can operate with any type of effluents even at non-uniform sewage supply. Like in any other system using activated sludge, biomass is incubated in the one-vessel bioreactor; the biomass removes from the effluents the organics which are the feed for the biomass micro-organisms. The sequence batch reactor is unique for its operation like an aerotank-nitrififier, a denitrifier, and a final setting tank using one vessel only. Cycle operation of the one-vessel sequence batch reactor consists of sequential processes of aeration, nitrification, denitrification, and sedimentation comprising the whole complex of fine bacterial treatment. Operation mode is adjusted depending on the type of effluents supplied for treatment. Adjustment of duration and thoroughness of all the treatment processes allows for receiving guaranteed amount of downstream treated water.

COMPLETE SETOne-vessel batch reactor consists of a vessel (circular or rectangular shape), surfacial turboaerator, decanter unit of treated water discharge, and residual activated sludge removal pump. Stirring and aeration are performed by surfacial turboaerators installed on floating structures in the bioreactor’s vessel. These floating structures provide for constant degree of surfacial turboaerators’ blades submergence in the effluents irrespective of the effluents’ level variation inside the bioreactor; thus they ensure constant capacity of saturation with atmospheric oxygen. Stir and aeration modes are adjusted by the turboareator’s rotary speed control.Depending on rotation speed change and varying of the surfacial turboaerators’ blades submergence the possibility of smooth changing of atmospheric oxygen delivered to the effluent is achieved. After the sedimentation process the top layer of the treated water is removed by means of the decanter unit by gravity without turbidity and is supplied to the final treatment at the filters.

The following main methods are applied in the fine treatment processes:

ACTIVATED SLUDGEThe method of biological treatment on the basis of activated sludge rests on incubating colonies of protozoa forming agglomerates (activated sludge flocks) in wastewater. The biological treatment method is based on the ability of microorganism to absorb organic and some inorganic pollutants from the wastewater for feeding.

SBRSBR – sequence batch reactor.The operation principle lies in sequential processes of aeration, nitrification, denitrification, and sedimentation comprising the whole complex of fine bacterial treatment in one vessel.

BIOFILMA biofilm is an extended-surface agglomerate of microorganisms adhered to the surface; it is submerged in the wastewater being treated. In the bioreactors with adhered biofilm biological water treatment units (mobile filling of various shapes) are used as supporting medium for the biofilm. An example of implementation of adhered biofilm technology is application of the MBBRs – moving bed biofilm reactors.

MBBRMBBR - moving bed biofilm reactor – is a reactor with adhered microbial flora on floating filling. MBBR operating principle is based on incubating a biofilm on the filling (material for filling: polymeric materials) with branched specific area, what provides for intensifying biochemical oxidation processes, allows to reduce the reactor’s size and to increase the efficiency of effluents treatment. Due to the constant moving the floating filling is self-purified from excessive biofilm growth.

MBR – MEMBRANE BIOFILM REACTOROperating principle of the membrane biofilm reactor bases on the barrier method with efficient sludge-water suspension by method of micro- (pore size over 0.1 µm) and ultrafiltration (pore size between 0.1 and 0.01 µm) in the hollow polymeric membranes system. In the MBR technology the following main structures’ modules are used: hollow-fiber, flat, and tubular.

COMPLETE PUMP STATIONS

FloTenk-KNS complete pump stations are designed for lifting and pumping drainage, rainfall, domestic and industrial wastewaters and are also used when delivery by gravity is impossible or is economically impractical. FloTenk-KNS complete pump station is produced ready-to-operate and can be mounted and connected on the site immediately after delivery. The station is a fiberglass body manufactured by filament wound method (radial and helical) with assembled piping system, shut-off valves, and service elements (hatch, ladder, service platform, etc.). The complete pump station is equipped with submersible or self-priming pumps produced by the world’s leading manufacturers. Control of the pumps is effected by float sensors and control panel which is mounted on a separate frame next to the sewage pump station (outdoor modification of control cabinet) or in the nearest building (indoor modification of the control cabinet).

Buried Complete Pump Station with Dry Box

This modification provides availability of an accumulating tank before the body with dry pumps. The structure is designed with double bottom with a drainage pump for dewatering in emergency situations (flooding). An advantage of this modification is the possibility to service the pump units and shut-off valves inside the station body.

A complete pump station with horizontal body is installed at objects with unsteady effluents intake to the complete pump station or treatment plant. The station vessel cumulates volleys of rainfall runoffs and the pumps dispense the water in normal operation. The complete pump station with horizontal body not just cumulates effluents, but the pumps also dispense the cumulated water in the hours of the least power consumption.

The most popular modification of complete pump stations. The body of the plant is installed in preliminary prepared ditch and is fastened to a concrete slab which serves as an anchor preventing from the station floating up. Should it be necessary to ensure protection from unauthorized access to the complete pump station or to make additional heat insulation under the low temperatures conditions a surface-mounted pavilion can be installed above the complete pump station.

When it is necessary to install the complete pump station under a roadway classic modifications of bodies  are  applied  with  a  structural  alteration  – availability of one or more manholes of 600 mm diameter to fit to a standard cast-iron hatch.This modification provides for availability of a relieving platform above the complete pump station. Repressuring StationFloTenk-KNS-DRY repressuring stations are manufactured in fiberglass bodies based on vertical multi-stage pumps.

Application:- pressure build-up and water feed in residential, public and industrial buildings, at water supply plants, in main pipelines; - pressure build-up in industrial plants; - fluid intake in cooling systems and fire-fighting systems.

A complete repressuring system consists of 2 or 3 concurrently installed centrifugal pumps. Mounting is performed on the common frame with piping, control cabinets, and common cabling.The piping is manufactured of stainless steel suitable for connection with any pipe types

Pump Stations for FirefightingFloTenk-PNS pump station body is manufactured of non-burning fiberglass (specific grade). When such stations are manufactured downhole pumps with high head are used. Pump stations for firefighting are divided into the following categories: - pump stations for firefighting with water intake from water bodies (river, sea, lake), - pump stations for firefighting with water intake from accumulation tanks. In the first case the water composition should be considered, since under the conditions of water intake from a water body with salt water it is necessary to use special modifications of the pump units (manufactured of stainless steel and bronze). Materials applied for manufacture of the pump stations’ bodies are reinforced non-burning fiberglass and chemically resistant stainless steel (AISI 316) – these materials are corrosion resistant and decay resistant, their application excludes the necessity in preventive maintenance to ensure the body protection and ensures the long service period.

Resilient Seated Gate Valve

Float valve-ball is used for preventing a reverse-directed flow of service fluid in the pipeline. The gate performed in a shape of a ball moves parallel to the service fluid flow. The valves provide for good sealing with fairly simple structure. Usually they are used for the pipelines of relatively small diameters since in case of big sizes efforts for the valve control grow significantly and the structure needs to be more complex to provide for correct seating of the flap on the saddle of the body.

FloTenk fiberglass pavilions are fiberglass module structures with vast scope of application. Fiberglass is several times lighter and dozens of times more long-lasting than metal is, it has the same thermal conductivity as wood, the same strength as steel, the same biological stability and moisture resistance as polymeric materials. Variety of standard modules with different characteristics and sizes which are easily extended by customer’s request provide for easy transportation and mounting of the structures.

The containers are manufactured on the basis of a metal frame with inner and outer fiberglass facings. Peculiarity of the container structure is a reinforced base frame with inner and outer fiberglass facings which guarantee corrosion resistance and long service life of the structure. The containers have high strength, stiffness and temperature resistance. Fiberglass properties ensure minimal maintenance costs for these structures. The structure is supplied to the customer fully assembled and availability of lugs ensures mounting the container with a crane on any surface.

Cold Drinking Water Storage Tank

ADVANTAGESFloTenk potable water tanks are absolutely leak proof; it prevents insertion of unwanted substances and impurities; the tanks are entirely noncorrodible and do not evolve toxic substances in the environment. Due to absence of weld joints no corrosion process takes place, and therefore the quality of preserved product does not spoil (as opposed to products preserved in steel vessels). All the products supplied have the necessary certificates – Certificate of Conformance and  Experts’ Report.

Flotenk-EV cold drinking water storage tanks: for manufacture of these tanks the materials are used which are approved for contact with potable water. According to the researches and tests performed by an independent laboratory the resin does not evolve hazardous substances into water and is suitable for potable water vessels.

FloTenk-OJ grease removal tanks are used for separation of grease and oil (both animal and vegetable oils) from the effluents for preventing grease building-up inside the pipes and for ensuring trouble-free operation of sewerage. Particles of grease and oil in the grease removal tank rise to the surface due to the difference between specific weights of oils and water. The grease removal tanks provide for grease removal from wastewater to 50 mg/l (if agreed with the customer the treatment degree can be improved to 20 mg/l).

OPERATING PRINCIPLEThe first chamber (sand-master unit): here the solids are separated from the effluents. The second chamber (grease separator): after treatment and removal of solids in the first chamber the fluid flows to the second chamber. Here the water surface contacting with the air gives up part of heat. Due to the specific weight difference the particles of grease and oil rise to the water surface and form an oil film there. Thickness of the film is controlled by the oil level switch. The most popular places for utilizing grease separators are kitchens (in canteens, restaurants, bars, hotels, etc.); grilled and roasted food production; meat and fish processing and sausage production; glue, soap, and stearine production; diaries, etc.).

FloTenk-ET subsurface fuel storage tanks are designed for diesel fuel storage for independent boiler houses. Fuel is classified as an aggressive medium. The manufactured tanks have high chemical resistance to acids and hydrocarbons, as well as high thermal deformation temperature. This can be achieved by application of specific fiberglass and chemically-resistant resins. Process of fuel storage tank production consists of placement of C class fiberglass (chemically resistant) and soaking it with isophthalic vinyl ester resin. Complete set of the fuel storage tank includes an in-place moulded-on service manhole of D=1000 mm with a hatch of 1000mm diameter. Inside the manhole there is a pipe for fuel pumping-in. The tank is equipped with a fuel level transducer. In case of meeting the installation and maintenance requirements the average service period of the fuel storage tanks is 25 years.

Plating Tanks

The tanks are designed for transportation of a wide range of aggressive media. The tanks can be installed directly of the truck chassis or inside the body as real weight.

The number of supports and wave-absorbing partitions depends on capacity of the tank and density of transported fluid. As agreed with the customer alterations and additions can be made to the structure. Where necessary the tanks can be equipped with chemically resistant flaps, operating platforms, ladders, fluid-level gauges, and additional nozzles.

We manufacture plating tanks of chemically resistant fiberglass according to the customer’s drawings. We perform rubber coating of dipping baths, vessels, equipment, ventilation ducts, effluent treatment facilities, pipelines and other industrial facilities’ production machinery requiring corrosion protection and aggressive media protection.

Lately a trend can be traced in growth of industrial plants’ interest to replacing existing gas ducts of metal and stainless alloys with fiberglass ducts. It is associated with a whole range of advantages of composite materials: - light weight; - service life duration; - absence of sediments on inner surface; - no need in thermal insulation; - ease of maintenance.

SPECIAL PURPOSE TANKS

The head tank (tank operating under pressure) is manufactured of fiberglass by method of filament wound with further hand moulding; its wall thickness conforms to performance specifications; it consists of the tank body, spherical bottom, spherical cover, and fiberglass supports. Standard complete set includes fluid intake-disposal gauges, maintenance hatch, filtering medium hatch, drain cock. Additional service openings are agreed with the customer. Operating pressure is between 2 and 8 atm, full pressure is 18 atm.

Head Tanks

Gas-Cleaning Equipment. ScrubbersFollowing the requirements of environment regulatory authorities the manufacturing facilities need to install gas-cleaning equipment.For these purposes scrubbers, cyclone separators, adsorbers, sleeve filters, etc. are used.Scrubbers are meant for flushing gases with water in order to clean the gases of contaminants (dust, tar, sulphur dioxide, ammonia, etc.). Fiberglass scrubbers manufactured based on polyester resins do not destroy either of outer or of inner corrosion, and application of specific chemically resistant resins make the scrubbers competitive with vessels of special stainless alloys.

Complex watertreatment plant is designed for complete treatment of potable water and disinfection of water from underground (well) and surface (river, lake) watersupply sources to meet the requirements of Sanitary Regulations and Norms 2.1.4.1074-01 “Potable Water. Quality Control”. Module complex watertreatment station is meant to ensure the potable water meets the standards established by Sanitary Regulations and Norms 2.1.4.1074-01 “Potable Water. WATERTREATMENT

Filters of this class are mainly designed for removal of iron and manganese from water. Various catalytic fillings including manganese binoxide are used as filter media. Manganese binoxide serves as a catalyser for oxidation process at which water dissolved iron and manganese are transformed into a nondissolovavle form and form sediment which is held in the filtering filling layer and is later washed to the drainage at back washing.

In the course of passing through ion-exchange resin fluid hardness desalination (calcium and magnesium salts) takes place due to replacement of the salts by sodium ions. Recovery of ion-exchange capacity takes place due to regeneration with salt brine based on 4.5 – 5 kg per every 28.3 l of filling at filter backwashing.

These are meant for removal of solid particles, sand, suspended solids, rust, and colloid matters from water thus reducing water colority and turbidity. For finer treatment a multicomponent filling is used. For regeneration of the filtering agent it is sufficient to use backwash.

The filter assignment is removal of organic admixtures, residual chlorine, and correction of sensory characteristics, like unpleasant taste, smell, and flavor. The filter adsorbs organic and chemical impurities, improves water taste and smell. Thanks to the large surface of interstitial pores the filter has high capacity and efficiency. In order to increase the service period of the filling it is necessary to perform preliminary treatment of water of oil products and suspended solids. Activated carbon filling requires regular replacement.

Composite shapes are manufactured by pultrusion method. Pultrusion process consists in pulling fiberglass soaked with polymeric resin through a heated extrusion device. In the extrusion device a thermosetting process of resin polymerization takes place. Thus downstream the extrusion device a completely formed shape of specified cross-section is obtained. The length of the product is not restricted and is defined by the customer’s requirements and transportation possibilities. The weight of fiberglass is 3.5-5 times less than the weight of steel; besides fiberglass outperforms steel in terms of the specific strength: when equal in strength structures are manufactured of steel and fiberglass the fiberglass structure is several times lighter than the steel one.

I-beam is applied as a structural component. It is a horizontal, vertical or inclined beam of H-section; it mainly works in bending, shear, and torsion. I-beams are widely used in construction of floor structures and bridgeworks. Also I-beams are often used for reinforcement of mine shafts and in frame house building.

This is the most popular shape of structural components; it has a U-shaped cross-section. Channel bars are used for framings in building and construction, machine building, etc. Composite (fiberglass) channel bars are corrosion-resistant, have longer service period and smaller weight than steel channel bars in structures of equal stiffness and strength.

This is one of the base elements of engineering structures. The angle is a beam with L-shaped cross-section. Composite angles are used almost in all spheres; it is especially popular in building industry as rigid armoring for reinforcement of structures in combination with the other shapes – I-beams, channel bars, and pipes.

Fiberglass rectangular pipes manufactured by pultrusion method are capable of bearing both vertical and horizontal loads. The scope of application of fiberglass rectangular pipes is vast: they are used in construction of bridges, barriers, ladders, service platforms, etc. Thanks to their resistance to aggressive media these pipes are irreplaceable in oil, gas and chemical industries.

The sound-proof shape is meant for installation of building envelopes along heavy-traffic streets, highways, railways, etc. to reduce the noise level. As a rule it is installed along high-speed roads overpassing residential and office areas. Installation of screens can significantly increase the price of real estate and land in the area; besides it reduces noise pollution by 8-20 decibel. Installation of such structures is economically feasible for densely populated areas where road location at a distance from residential and office buildings is impossible. Sound-proof beams are installed and connected to each other vertically by interlocks.

Fiberglass  pipes  of  circular  section  are  used  in  various  spheres  as  structural  components  –  in  civil engineering and in industrial production.

The component is installed on fencings. Fiberglass railings are aesthetic and ergonomic. They produce an impression of warmth (due to their low thermal conductivity) and preserve their color thanks to the UV resistance.

Plastic composite floors are made of durable environmentally-friendly material produced on the basis of fiberglass and polyester resins. The back side is reinforced with parallel T-section ribs. In order to achieve anti-slip effect a flat surface can be covered with corundum chips.

Fiberglass shaped decking can bear the highest load compared to other floorings. The structure is made of parallel pieces of I-section shapes rigidly connected by fiberglass cross bars.

Fiberglass grid floorings (mesh grates) are produced by direct moulding. The grid floorings are equally efficient for both indoor and outdoor application. They are easy to mount; in case of one or several elements failure there is no need to disassemble the whole flooring – it is sufficient to replace one broken fragment with a new one. Due to its structure the grate leaks air and wastewater and does not entrap dirt.

Due to its stress-stain properties a composite fiberglass shape is ideal for producing power and telecommunications cable ducts (cable runways, cable passages, trays, etc.). Various types of fiberglass pipes, overhead runs, underfloor ducts, process racks, etc. can serve as cable ducts.

Application of cable ducts provides for convenient and quick field installation of individual cables or groups of cables, cable ducts adding or dismantling if necessary. Application of cable ducts ensures easy and quick assemble of

engineering systems and low power networks (local area network, telephone network, television tracker system, access control system, alerting system, security alarm system, fire protection system, etc.). Telecommunication cable ducts in production areas are used not only for low-power cable installation but also for installation of power cables and electric wires to ensure power supply to working areas.
