New Features

Generic/Catalogue Browser

Added support to disable the message for turning on Catalogues

• This setting cannot be reverted for now.

Added support to import SIF purchase order and OFDA purchase order to a picklist

• The features and options will be imported as well.

• Note that the import options do not work for OFDA xml (saved in Catalogue Creator or saved

in the Freeform section), but only works for OFDA XML exported from the Calculation dialog.

• To import a sif purchase order file, first define the SIF import type in the import setting.

• The Project Matrix SIF has a standardized export tag while for custom SIF, you can change the

export tag freely in the Custom SIF settings dialog.

• Check the Import to picklist(s) checkbox to enable import to new or existing picklist.

Added support to be able to type part number in the picklist

• The filter list is based on the browsing area of the current catalogue.

Upgrading material converter

• Added a dialog to skip converted gm files during the start of conversion.

• Also added a filter to filter file name of supported files (png, jpg, jpeg) in the source directory.

• To open completed gm in the Material Lab, check the Show only Converted checkbox and

then select multiple materials to Open selected in Material Lab.

Catalogue Creator

Added support to bookmark project files in the Catalogue Creator

• In the Recent files section of the File menu, click the pin icon to bookmark your project files.

Table of Contents - Revamp

• The Table of Contents is revamped for more editability and enhanced user interface.

• Inserting sub level, close/expand all and reset description buttons have been replaced with

right click menu of product and product level in the left-most column.

o Visible Columns – Edit column visibility in the tree view.

o Component Tab Creator – see next section for more details.

• Folder icon represents a Product level or Sub Product level which are groups of products.

• Product icon represented by "P" in blue are actual products.

• Multiple select + drag products to different levels in the tree view. Can also use Ctrl/Shift

select. A black insert line will guide where selections are placed.

• Products can easily be added to the Table of Contents by dragging them from the All Products

list to the tree view.

Component Tab Creator

• The Component tab creator is a new tool that allows users to create component tabs and

publish them in portfolios and is accessible in the Table of Contents sub window in the Product

Catalogues card.

• A new dialog window allows for users to customize and add products from product catalogues.

• Organize and list groups of products using various controls provided in the dialog

o Filler - Fills up a space between products.

o Group - A container product level, applies currency rounding and exchange rate

recursively.

o Header - A bold description product level, applies currency rounding and exchange

rate recursively.

o Product View - A section to add products, just drag and drop to existing header/group

to add.

o Image Header - An image to represents the toolbox, usually on top.

o New - Adding new component tab.

o Save - Save current component tab.

o Enable/Display preview - To preview the component tab in a toolbox.

o Activate - To activate the component tab so users who installed the catalogue will see

the component tab when the show component tab button is turned on in the

catalogue explorer.

o Delete - Delete selected item.

• Add products from the All Products list or the Table of Contents in the Catalogue Creator to

custom grouping in the Component tab creator by clicking and dragging.

• Editing a product’s features and options in the Component tab creator to overwrite the default

option set in the Features card.

• A warning message will be displayed to block the edit of Table of Content if a component tab

file was detected.

• Header or card images can be browsed from any directory and once selected; it will be copied

to the component tab directory defined in the Projects card.

Product Unit Converter

• New solution to convert units for cells or columns instead of all values in the Project tab. Right

clicking on a cell or column will show a series of menu items for measurement conversion.

• Dimensional units (ft, mm, etc.) will convert to any other standard measurement in CET

Designer while weights (lbs, kg) will convert to other weight measurements.

• An option dialog will appear showing the same conversion options as changing the unit on the

Project tab.

o Convert Units and Values - Sets the units and converts the cell value.

o Only Update Units - Only sets the units leaving the cell value the same.

o Do Nothing - Cancels the operation.

Generic Find and Replace

• Find and replace has been removed from the Products tab and moved to a new dialog window

to search through all of the Catalogue Creator with similar functionality as Excel’s Find and

Replace.

• The dialog can be opened from the Edit menu or using shortcut keys CTRL+F (Find) and CTRL+H

(Replace).

• Search results will appear at the bottom of the dialog with details of result and highlighting to

view the result location. Double clicking an item in the results automatically finds the result in

the Catalogue Creator.

Creator Sheets

• Columns - Shift any columns around in the Products, Features and Materials sheets by

dragging a selected column header.

• Rows - Insert and copy rows by using a new right click menu when selecting rows in the

Products, Features and Materials sheets or using shortcut keys CTRL+C and CTRL+V.

o Insert Row - Add a blank row above the selected row

Updated the edit symbol in the Features card

• Click edit logo to open the Option spreadsheet.

External Reference Keys Upgrade

• The user interface has been updated with a new order of operations. Creating External

reference keys are now in the Geometry Tab.

• Create external reference key types to group external references and create keys with unique

values which will appear in the key list in the External References tab.

• Assign the external reference key to a feature and models (cm3d or cmsym) using the assign

button in the External Reference Key tab which will open a dialog.

• In the new dialog, select the key in the filter view and then assign it to options and models in

the levels view to the right which can be filtered, then click on the “Assign” button to assign

the key to the selected option and models.

• See the assigned external references in the new dialog or any other corresponding views in

the Catalogue Creator.

Standardize all drag animations in the Catalogue Creator

• The drag item will have its symbol represents in the drag animation.

Standardize all filters behavior in the Catalogue Creator

• All filters will be standardised to be non-propagate filters with require <Enter> key to work.

Feature References and Default Options

• Feature References is a new characteristic for Product and Options used to set default options

like feature default options.

o Product Feature Reference (represented in blue)

o Option Feature Reference (represented in red)

• A new column in the Products tab called “Default Options” enables a product to have a specific

default option.

• New UI feature – clicking on the dropdown arrow in a cell opens a catalogue tree view and

can now choose a feature or option to apply to the Default Option under the Feature

Reference characteristic.

• Apply a default option by clicking and dragging an feature or option to the “DO” characteristic

or using the new “Set Feature Refs Default Option” in the right click menu.

• The feature or option will be applied to the Default Option cell for the product and labelled in

the catalogue tree view.

• The new functionality to set default options will apply in the Feature Default Options in the

Features tab.

Added connector indicator

• Added indicator to connector in the Geometry card so rotate along x-axis will be more visible.

Stop and detect upload of url.db3

• Attempt to upload url.db3 file to a portfolio will be stopped with the following warning dialog.

Added support to enable optional select option

• You can now set the default option of an optional feature.

• Simply using the “Set Default Options” button to set the first option as default, or, right click

on an option and Set Features’ default option.

• However, only 1 option can be set as default in the Features card.

• Right click on the enabled option to remove the default option.

Added a used product catalogue filter in the Geometry card

• You may choose to preview the product from a specific product catalogue.

Split 2D and 3D views from embedded windows in the Geometry card

• The embed and the pop-up views are now independent to each other and have the same

functionalities.

Added accuracy of up to 0.1mm for Connectors and External Reference offsets

Added warning message for unloadable cm3D or cmSym file during drag/drop

• If you add a corrupted cm3D or cmSym file to a product in the Geometry card, a warning

message will be shown.

• The model will however still be assigned to the product.

Added support to detect tab spaces in validation

• Tab spaces will be highlighted in yellow and will be flagged in the Leading/Trailing Spaces in

Codes validation task.

Added support for automatically resolve invalid material preview URL

• Invalid material’s preview URL will be removed.

Added support to detect unreadable preview url in the Material Files validation task

Upgraded the Utilities card

• Split Model Previews and Others sections into two different tabs.

• Split filter by No/Unmatched/Invalid filters filter into three different filters.

o No Preview – Filters product that has no preview images generated.

o Unmatched preview – Filters products with previews generated but not

matched/assigned.

o Invalid preview – Filters products with unreadable matched/assigned previews.

Batch material converter

• Split batch material converter from Catalogue Creator and material lab.

Calculation dialog

• Fixed issue with feature description in the calculation dialog does not work well with multiple

select.

2D

• Fixed issue for data symbol in 2D view showing on top of the other snappers even if it is

completely under in 3D.

• Fixed issue with contour 2D setting not updated until after refresh.

Symbol replace

• Fixed issue with symbol replaces dialog does not update with the latest placed symbols.

Property box & insert animation

• Fixed issue with graphics not updated until refresh when changing option in the property box.

• Fixed issue with tab and space not working for parallel features.

COM dialog

Catalogue Details

• Fixed issue with show drop down menu does not stay open.

• Fixed issue with default language of creator not saved in the preference file.

• Fixed issue with setting non-english (US) as default language jumps back to default adding text

to the to the name and description.
