This is the slow sinking range, which we can recognise by the bubble inside made up of oil and coloured splatter. This aspect, as well as giving the lure a uniquely sinuous aspect, also represents the fishes’ swim bladder. The slow sinking mo-del has been created in two sizes, both smooth and covered with a special coloured lycra.

C’est la série semi-coulante; on la reconnaît grâce à la bulle interne composée d’huile et de splatters colorés. Cette astuce, non seulement donne une sinuosité unique au leurre, mais re-présente la vessie natatoire des poissons. Le modèle semi-cou-lant a été réalisé en 2 mesures, aussi bien lisse que recouvert d’un lycra coloré spécial.

The “Bulanko” methodMethode “Bulanko”

This is a type of bottom fishing from boat where you both use the rod and act on the tension of the line; when the squid are not on the bottom you retrieve slowly so as to sound various levels of water. In order for the artificial lures to act correctly they should be at intervals of about 30 cm and be joined to the main line by arms of around 5/10 centimetres. The fishing movement needs to be calm without jerks or sudden jolts; after this the artifi-cial lure will do the rest. Since you are not constantly acting on these movements, you can have a number of rods fishing at the same time, so as to boost the percentage of bites. A larger number of lures makes it possible to get the squid to remain in the area, which is quite difficult with a single cast. The best lures for this method can be either the slow-sinking “Bull” or the floating “Ero-thica”.

Il s’agit d’un plioir où l’on agit aussi bien avec la canne qu’en opérant sur la tension du fil; lorsque les calmars ne sont pas sur fond, on le récupère lentement de sorte à sonder plusieurs niveaux d’eau. Pour faire agir correcte-ment les leurres, on les espace de 30 centimètres et on les unit à des avançons à environ 5/10 centimètres de la ligne-mère. Le mouvement de pêche doit être doux, sans saccades ni gestes brusques; ce sera ensuite le leurre qui accomplira le reste. N’agissant pas continuellement sur les mouvements, on est en mesure de mettre à l’eau plu-

sieurs cannes à pêche de sorte à augmenter le pourcen-tage des touches. Un plus grand nombre d’appâts permet de faire stationner les calmars dans la zone, ce qui est très difficile si on pêche avec un seul et uni-que bras. Is to use big lures when the squid are aggressive, whereas when they are hesitant about biting it is better to tempt them with small, animated lures. The double crown is an acces-sory mounted only on big lures. The fluorescent eye allows the lure to act effectively even at considerable depths.

La double couronne est un accessoire monté uniquement sur de grands leurres. L’oeil ffluorescent permet au leurre d’être productif même à de grandes profondeurs.

CottonThe underlying lure covered in cotton proves to be effective above all in night fishing. We can see that this model features a double crown for a better strike on the squid. On the head it also has a fluorescent collar so that it may be visible to both the fisherman and the prey; to activate it, it is a good idea to place the lure in front of a light source for a few seconds.

L’appât placé au-dessous et recouvert de co-ton s’avère avantageux spécialement pour la pêche nocturne. Nous pouvons remarquer que ce modèle adopte la double couronne pour une meilleure prise du calmar. Sur la tête, il y a même un petit collier fluorescent pour qu’il soit plus visible aussi bien par le pêcheur que par la proie; pour le rendre actif, faire stationner le leurre quelques secondes face à une source de lumière.
