ROCíO MOLINA & Rosario la Tremendita

«I love to keep the same freshness on

stage as in life, even if it means

sometimes being uggly.»

Rocio Molina

Whatever she does, the numerous l ives of Rocio Moli-na explore a sophist icated and savage dance. She who l ikes to claim « imperfection, fragi l i ty of pain and search for pleasure » nurr ishes a somptuous, furiously inventive gesture, pierced by al l the tempers of Flamenco.

ROCíO MOLINA in biennale de danse de Lyon

A concertante musical creation, a scenic multimedia set up and digital sound device, which are associated to orga-nic and raw materials (such as paper or plants) and to tex-tures created by the light and the video, will allow her to open unseen sensory, visual and musical perspectives. Ro-cio Molina will make the elements of decor “sing”, like the extension of dance moving between platforms of sound.

«every time I dance, I want to find again

the strange state of happiness I was feeling

when I was a child while spontaneously im-

provising. It was all so sudden, I was sove-

reign in the space.

N(own)ow Korean version

2015, ANNÉE FRANCE - CORÉE

In June 2013, Hyoseung offers four fellow dancers of Ballets C. de la B. to come join him in South Korea for a creation pro-ject. During one month, they will lock themselves in a studio in Seoul. N(OWN)OW jointly builds himself around the man, pos-sessed by his urges and desires. Servile and fragile bodies in the quakings and tensions. Mo-dest nudity and bodies blending into sensual and male curves, sweating torsos, lowered underpants unveiling bulging buttocks and finger quiverings on the bodies..

Hyoseung Ye now lives in Seoul. He’s recrea-ting a version of N(OWN)OW with four other Korean dancers. Available from May 2014.

manuel Liñan

Praised by specialised press, invited to teach by Spain National Ballet,

this fabulous dancer drives stages and aficionados crazy. Basing himself

on a solid technique, a sure and deep instinct, Manuel Liñan offers a

subtle and aerial dance. Firmly contemporary, his choreographies always

refer to flamenco traditions.

«Sinergia» is a work coming from

the most hidden recesses of a so-

litude filled with emotions left

by others. Manuel Liñan

It is rage indeed that guides

Manuel Liñan. With Nomada,

that will be created in Fe-

bruary 2014 in Jerez Festi-

val, he has unveiled during

the pre-premiere in Madrid

a masterful and passiona-

tely flamenco work.

He is hypnothic with his ani-

mal and graceful dance,

sharp like a black diamond. The respect of tradition remains in an electric

flamboyance. He is accompanied by five dancers, three singers and two

guitarists. The scenes succeed each other until the apotheosis of a finale

of rare intensity. Manuel Liñan confirms he is no longer part of Flamen-

co young Turks. He has become one of its masters and servant that

looks to his future without forgetting his roots.Torrid and magnificent !

DIARIO DE UNA

CRUXIFICION

Man is alone facing his existence; judge

and defendant, victim and executionner,

animal and aware, abandonned to his

passions. In a worthless fight against

himself, he throws his body in the battle.

And as in a reality show the audience be-

comes both judge and party of this expe-

rience, arbitrator and witness of a dispute

in which tensions between the mystical

and the human meet and touch the one

that observes.

Dury is the defining moment of this Héritages program. The

three men give a sharp dance for a brilliant work signed by

a great master of choreography. CEL Black Days takes us

to more contemporary territories, with bodies attracted to the

ground and deliciously aerial arms curve. Effective and joyful !

Creation in Festival Madrid en Danza 2013

« even if our world doesn’t go

round, I can’t stop to create.

So, I draw in the tensions in

our society to write my works.»

Janet Novas

Mix od modernity (hands in the pockets) and eternal feminine (long hair), Janet Novás offers two performances in which one feel the breath, the present body, vibrant, moving, with its voice, his screams, his respira-tion. She composes with her body as if it was a small theater and the stage a movie screen on which every one can project is own imagination.

Anne Lopez& François Lopez

Vittorio de Sica Miracle in Milan (Palme d’or in Cannes in 1951) is the starting point of this coreographic and musical work, carried by a choir of amateur performers of different horizons, different generations, different backgrounds. The real, contemporary, overwhelming, revolting facts of the world surrounding us are used as a basis of a reflexion on a contem-porary version of Miracle in Milan.

tion of André Braga and

Claudia Figueiredo,

Circolando has been

developing its activi-

ties since 1999. At the

core, the concept of

transdisciplinarity. An

intense dialog between

dance and theater with

a strong contribution of

other creative fields :

poetry, visual arts, mu-

sic, video. The company

Areia

Arraial

With AREIA (« sand » in Portuguese), dancer André Braga and musician Tó Trips answer this call in an intimate dialogue with a material, between a body searching for its limits and powerful live music. An unexpected and revivifying contact.

ARRAIAL un is a dance-theater performance with the community offering a poetic glimpse of Northern Portugal with its festivities, rituals and beliefs. Side by side, the sacred and the profane, acts of faith and explosion of the senses. With the participation of over 50 amateur performers and the live music of Dead Combo, Arraial is a powerful and fascinating work.

« I’ve always known how to put my taste of perfection forward to present a work in the most beautiful backdrop. The artists we are supporting chose short cuts. They are not with us to sell their performances, and we are not alongside with them simply to build tours. Our artists are in search of a bit more than what is usually offered: a bit more encounters, a bit more invention, a bit more audacity and projects all in circumvolution, always at the edge of human and sensitive. And all the theaters and festivals we advise are also looking for our crazy accompanist drifts... be-cause everything is possible as long as there is desire! »
