Specially designed for polishing and cleaning of areas with restricted access such as and theThis product can be used with or without polishing paste.

With light pressure the bristles spread themselves and can even reach under the gumline. MICROTUFT brushes are designed for slow speeds to clean beforeand . Use with a disinfectant or prophy paste.

Dentists regularly need to clean in the smallest and confined spaces. Efficient cleaning is often difficult or even impossible with conventional brushes.

We have designed a new minibrush specifically for this task the MICROTUFT! The working tuft is narrower than the shank so it is easy to reach all thepreviously impossible small and confined areas. The MICROTUFT is manufactured with nylon bristles and can be used with or without STODDARD prophypaste - see page 17.

Latex allergy is a medical term for a range of allergic reactions to proteins found innatural rubber latex. Due to the widespread use of latex products in healthcare andmedical devices, latex allergy presents a significant healthcare problem. 4% to 17% of healthcare workers have an allergic reaction.

Estimates of latex sensitivity in the global population range from 0.8% to 8.2%. The risk of

a potentially life-threatening allergic reaction by a patient in the surgery has beendeemed to be sufficiently high to replace all latex surgical products with syntheticalternatives.

UNI-POINT Brush

The Unipoint brush has been developed in order to clean intestitially tooth by tooth. The Unipoint brush is equipped with a small ergonomically designed nylontuft. Single tufted sulcular brushes with ultrafine filaments offer efficient, precise cleaning of all individual tooth surfaces right up to and under the gum line. Themost effective oral hygiene procedure is to clean each individual tooth with a single tufted brush. The filaments are 9mm long and have been designed to cleanin and around braces, implants and attachments.

The Unipoint can be used with or without toothpaste. See the red arrow cleaning motion. Follow the cleaning of the individual shape of the tooth. The softbristles fit perfectly to the anatomy of the gum.

GUM-SAVERUM-SAVER  w N e

ConsiderationsBleeding gums can be a sign that you are at risk for, or already have, gum disease. However, persistent gum bleeding may be due to serious medical conditions

such as leukemia and bleeding and platelet disorders.Bleeding gums can be very distressing. The presence of bleeding gums is commonly misunderstood, with sufferers assuming that this is the result of brushingtoo hard. This is often not the case. A common reaction is to then avoid the area with the toothbrush. However, if you continue to brush an area that is bleedingthe biofilm, which causes the inflammation and blood, will be removed. This allows the gum to recover, and the bleeding to stop.

How can the GUM-SAVER help? The GUM-SAVER is angled to specifically and effectively brush below the gum line in order to remove the biofilm which causes bleeding gums and gumdisease.

CausesBleeding gums are mainly due to inadequate plaque removal from the teeth at the gum line. This will lead to a condition called gingivitis, or inflamed gums. If plaque is not removed through regular brushing and dental appointments, it will harden into what is known as tartar. Ultimately, this will lead to increasedbleeding and a more advanced form of gum and jawbone disease known as periodontitis.

Other causes of bleeding gums Any bleeding disorder Brushing too hard

Hormonal changes during pregnancyIdiopathic thrombocytopenic purpuraIll-fitting denturesImproper flossingInfection, which can be either tooth- or gum-relatedLeukemiaScurvyUse of blood thinners

The GUM-SAVER is unique, designed to replicate the actions of scaling instruments, targeting the sub-gingival biofilm. Proper use significantly reducesinflammation and reduces pocket depths.

Only one bristle tip is used at one time

STODDARD Crown cutters have been specifically designed to efficiently cut and . We have developed a new blade configuration tocreate a more aggressive cutting angle. This acute angle geometry produces a far more efficient cutting than conventional carbide burs. Our advancedmanufacturing process with solid, single piece tungsten carbide construction ensures exact concentricity for reducing vibration.

STODDARD Osteo diamond burs are coated with a unique electroplated bondinglayer between uniform diamond particles which prevents the instrument fromclogging, enabling rapid and accurate reduction of the tooth structure. This allowsthe bur to cool and reduces the risk of thermal injury.

These diamond burs are designed for parting and separating , resecting, reducing and smoothing and . They will effectively finishthe surface uniformly and remove bone chips and tooth structure safely.

These chamfered diamond instruments with a guide pin are ideal for preparing a deep chamfer margin. The highly polished guide pin is guided round the toothwithout applying any pressure. The diamond-coated cutting surface reduces the tooth structure to a deep chamfer and prepares a uniform deep chamfer at thepreparation margin. These instruments are available in 2 sizes and in cylindrical and tapered shapes.

STODDARD Osteo diamond burs are coated with a unique electroplated bonding layer between uniform diamond particles which prevents the instrument from clogging, enabling rapid and accurate reduction of the tooth structure. This allows the bur to cooland reduces the risk of thermal injury.

These diamond burs are designed for parting and separating , resecting, reducingand smoothing and . They will effectively finish the surfaceuniformly and remove bone chips and tooth structure safely.

Stoddard carbide cutters have the maximum number of blades required by the ISO standard for all carbide cutters. Other manufacturers reduce productioncosts by making their cutters with the minimum number of blades required by the standardStoddard carbide cutters are made of one piece of solid carbide for all cutters up to a working part of size 2.3 mm. Therefore these cutters are 100 %accurate, no breakages etc.Stoddard carbide cutters have a sharper blade angle which allows smooth working on recommended materials without using pressure. This is easier to usefor the operative and results in less wear on the handpiece which means - longer life and reduced repair costsStoddard carbide cutters have a special uniform group blading where all the cutter head blades have the same cutting geometry - working with either the top

or the side of the cutter will produce the same perfect results

ACRYL-STAR – These gold coloured, TiN coated cutters (2500 HV) have been developed byleading dental technologists for cutting This special coating produces less friction on thework surface and ensures that grinding matter does not stick to the instrument which stays clean for longer. Research has shown that not only does the cutter produce an exceptionally smooth andvery hard surface, the lifetime of the cutter is significantly extended by 3 to 5 times when comparedto a conventional uncoated cutter. This feature not only extends the working l ife of the cutter but alsoallows the operator smooth and effortless usage. As the cutter remains “clean” during use, thisallows for a more uniform grinding and smooth polish.

acrylic.crylic.

COMPO-STAR - These grey/blue coated cutters (3300 HV) are ideal for grindingthey are much harder and cause much less friction than conventional

cutters. Often normal cutters can become blunt due to in the composite, however due to this unique coating these cutters will last longer and quickly produce afine, smooth and very hard surface.
