WHO ARE WE?

Turrones de Costa Rica S.A. was founded in 1987. Luis Diego Soto Clausen, its founder and current chairman, has 20 years of experience producing nougat and sweets in Costa Rica, and places great importance in offering the client a product of excellent quality. Since its foundation, the company has specialized in the production of macadamia, peanuts, and almond nougat. In the past years other product varieties have been developed.The company leads the production and sales of nougat in the country, and has managed to turn nougat, originally a Christmas product, into a product of regular consumption all year round. Turrones de Costa Rica has recently built its own production facilities increasing its production capacity in response to the export markets’ high demand.

We produce nougat and original sweets of excellent quality in order to continue our sales and increase them in new markets using a dynamic business management based on our values, thus improving the quality of life of our partners and contributors.

HOW WE DO ITOur products are made out of sugars, honey, egg whites and different types of nuts. Turrones de Costa Rica carefully and constantly selects the raw materials in order to use the ingredients’ best qualities for the production of it´s nougats, and to satisfy the customers high expectations.

¿QUIÉNES SOMOS?

Turrones de Costa Rica S.A. fue fundada en 1987. Su fundador y actual presidente, Luis Diego Soto Clausen, cuenta con más de 20 años de experiencia fabricando turrones y golosinas en Costa Rica y ha mantenido desde sus inicios la filosofía de poner en manos del cliente un producto de excelente calidad. Desde su creación, la empresa se ha especializado en la elaboración de turrones de macadamia, maní y almendra. En los últimos años se ha diversificado con otras variedades de turrón y golosinas. La empresa es líder en la producción y venta de turrones en el país y ha logrado convertir el turrón, originalmente una confección navideña, en un producto de consumo regular durante todo el año. Recientemente, Turrones de Costa Rica construyó sus propias instalaciones incrementando su capacidad de respuesta ante la demanda de los mercados de exportación.

¿CÓMO LO HACEMOS?

Nuestros productos están elaborados a base de azúcares, miel de abeja, clara de huevo y diversos tipos de nueces. Turrones de Costa Rica selecciona cuidadosa y constantemente las materias primas, con el fin de utilizar la mejor calidad de los ingredientes para la formulación de sus productos y satisfacer las altas expectativas de los consumidores.

BENEFITS OF CONSUMING OUR PRODUCTS

The sweets produced by Turrones de Costa Rica are energetic, highly nutritious, and delicious. They have non-saturated vegetable fats that benefit the metabolism. We only use natural ingredients. Artificial additives are not added to our products.

EXPORT CLIENTS

We began our first exports in 1995. We currently export our products to: Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico.

Turrones de Costa Rica has received several awards for the quality of its products and its ever-growing export market. These are:1. The National Uribe and Pagés “Visionary 2004” Prize awarded by the Corporation of United Supermarkets (at the moment Wal-Mart Supermarkets) in the PYMES category for “Impact Launch and Innovation.”

2. In December 2004, the (Costa Rican Export Chamber) Cámara de Exportadores de Costa Rica (CADEXCO), awarded Turrones de Costa Rica the “Premio CADEXCO al Mérito del Esfuerzo Exportador, Categoría PYME INDUSTRIAL” (CADEXCO Prize for Export Merit, Category PYME INDUSTRIAL).

BENEFICIOS DE CONSUMIR NUESTROS PRODUCTOS

Las golosinas que Turrones de Costa Rica produce son energéticas, nutritivas y deliciosas. Contienen grasas vegetales no saturadas que benefician el metabolismo. Todos sus ingredientes son naturales. No se le adicionan colorantes, preservantes, ni sabores artificiales.

CLIENTES DE EXPORTACIÓN

A partir de 1995 se iniciaron las primeras exportaciones. Actualmente se exporta a: México, Guatemala, Nicaragua, República Dominicana y Puerto Rico.

RECONOCIMIENTOS

Turrones de Costa Rica ha recibido distinciones por la calidad de sus productos y por el crecimiento en sus exportaciones. Estos son:1. El Premio Nacional Uribe y Pagés “Visionarios 2004”, otorgado por la Corporación de Supermercados Unidos (actualmente Wal-Mart) en la categoría PYMES por “Lanzamiento e Innovación de Impacto”.
