Testing

Were very into our testing, which is why our products are

class-leaders in saety and durability. At our test centre,

we put all o our designs through the harshest conditions

possible, rom the cold o Scandinavia to the baking heat o

the desert. We have a special salt chamber to test or rust

protection, a draw bench that tests our pressure and load

and a sleeping policeman to test extreme orces on the

hitch hook. We even test our products or chemical resis-

tance. And we have wind tunnel. And just when you thinkits all over, we have a machine that vigorously shakes our

A history of innovations

I necessity is the Mother o invention, we are

the Father. Our engineers have been innovating

class-leading products in our Swedish actory

since 1942, going rom one innovation to the

next. In 1973, we developed Europes rst

lockable ski-rack the Luxus. Then ater a string

o other innovations, we raised the bar in Cargo-

carrying systems with the Rapid System. Madeto t any car with no need or tools, the Rapid

System switly became the industry standard.

Then in 2004 we made kayaks as at home on

cars as they are on water, with the Hull-A-Port

rail. For the rst time, Kayaks could be loaded

on the side on top o the car, which meant

more space and the possibility to take 3 Ka-

yaks with a smaller rack. Which is all well and

good, but we know that were only as good

as our last innovation, so or 2011 were proud

to introduce the SlideBar. Uniquely designed to

slide out rom your car, which means it wontget damaged, you wont get dirty and we can
