INTRODUCTORY
M U S Ic. wh ile it is the univer-sa l lang uag e. is s pokenwith di fferent accents. As the S out her ne r's slow, mell ow intona tions differ fr om the typical Eas t-ern speech and the Western drawl, the interpreta tion sfamous m usician s place on identical com positi ons areessentially different.
Li sten to any well known classic rendered by differentartist s and yo u will ob serve that each ar -ti st will play iti ll his OWI1 style and feeling, which proves that mu sicalinterpretations, like faces, are never just alike .
This graphically depicts t he real value of t he RECO RDOHEPRODCCfNG HO LLS. T hey arc posit ive reproduc-tions of the technique and interpretation of the ar ti st whoplayed them-a musical pho tograph of his a rt is try.
In Reccrdo Catalogs and Bulletins you will find the workof every g reat pianist. Yo u ma y take one number, inter-preted by se vera l di fferent masters, and be as tonished atthe difference ; these rolls breathe the fi re , the artistry. thevery sp ir it of th e ones who played them.
A library of RECORDa ROLLS is a collection of theworld 's best music from the maest ros of the piano. Whetherthese wonderful reproductions are used for mu sical educa-tion or entertainment is immaterial. They gather underyour roof, subject to you r call, the playing of the peoplethat the age has acclaimed as masters .

Rl CH ARD BUHI"IG, this distinguished pianist enjoysa wide reputation and high favor in European musi-
cal circles. It is to be regr etted that his American appear-ances have been so infrequent for to hear Buhlig is to hearan interpretive arti st of the first rank. Power brilliancyand a poetic sense of the composer's meaning are all dis-played through his superb technical equipment. Truly adelight ful pianist.
