Cat Facts
Cats have exceptional senses. A cat’s sense of smell is 2x that of a human, and their hearing is very good
too, meaning they can hear the high pitched squeaks of a mouse.
In early Egyptian times, a black cat was seen as good luck, but come the Middle Ages they began to be associated with witches, and have been deemed unlucky ever since.
Inquisitive cats can have accidents, so to prevent a massive vets bill opt for RSPCA cat insurance.
Domestic cats can survive on nearly no water, thanks to their heritage. Once desert animals, cats don’t
sweat and can survive in high temperatures.
Cats whiskers are essential sensory mechanisms and when damaged they cause the cat to become
confused and disorientated.
