Casted aluminum pistol and suppressor replica

Introduction:

We decided to make the aluminum

pisstol model as our project andsuppressor replica for our materila

project.this project is picked from the

internet and seems to be the best

idea which we came across .

Process and working:

First of all mold will be formed using

plastic or wood in wood workshop or

we can form the sand mold.

After nishing the mold and the

gating system for the moltenaluminum we will secure the foundry

ask cope and drag with clamps. !he

casting session was "uick for this

project as there was no need for a big

amount of aluminum for such a smallcasting. #alf a crucible of molten

aluminum was enough for the pistol

replica and the suppressor. We will

pour the molten aluminum into the

sand mold ca$ity and let the castingcool down for half an hour. !he casting

will not bad at all% not as high a

"uality nish as you would get using

oil bonded sand &Petrobond' but good

enough for homemade green sand.After the metal cool down I will use a

reciprocating saw to cut o( the gating

system.

!he ne)t stage will to le clean all the

e)tra aluminum *ash*% .After ling

the e)tra aluminum we will sand the

aluminum pistol replica and the

suppressor. We will use my tap and

die set to create the threaded holes

and a small two sided bolt to secure

the suppressor to the pistol barrel.

!he polishing part is where we ne$er

really ha$e too much patience%

especially if it is a large object with

odd angles. We will semi polish the

pistol replica gi$ing it a bit more of an

authentic look.
