    Important Safety Notice Do not use the monitor near water, e.g. near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, swimming pool or in a wet basement. Do not place the monitor on an unstable cart, stand, or table. If the monitor falls, it can injure a person and cause serious damage to the appliance. Use only a cart or stand recommended by the manufacturer or sold with the monitor. If you mount the monitor on a wall or shelf, use a mounting kit approved by the manufacturer and follow the kit instructions. Slots and openings in the back and bottom of the cabinet are provided for ventilation. To ensure reliable operation of the monitor and to protect it from overheating, be sure these openings are not blocked or covered. Do not place the monitor on a bed, sofa, rug, or similar surface. Do not place the monitor near or over a radiator or heat register. Do not place the monitor in a bookcase or cabinet unless proper ventilation is provided. The monitor should be operated only from the type of power source indicated on the label. If you are not sure of the type of power supplied to your home, consult your dealer or local power company. The monitor is equipped with a three-pronged grounded plug, a plug with a third (grounding) pin. This plug will fit only into a grounded power outlet as a safety feature. If your outlet does not accommodate the three-wire plug, have an electrician install the correct outlet, or use an adapter to ground the appliance safely. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the grounded plug. Unplug the unit during a lightening storm or when it will not be used for long period of time. This will protect the monitor from damage due to power surges. Do not overload power strips and extension cords. Overloading can result in fire or electric shock. Never push any object into the slot on the monitor cabinet. It could short circuit parts causing a fire or electric shock. Never spill liquids on the monitor. Do not attempt to service the monitor by yourself; opening or removing covers can expose you to dangerous voltages and other hazards. Please refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. To ensure satisfactory operation, use the monitor only with UL listed computers which have appropriate configured receptacles marked between 100 - 240V AC, Min. 5A. The wall socket shall be installed near the equipment and shall be easily accessible.

    2. LCD Monitor Description The LCD monitor will contain a main board, a power board and a key board which house the flat panel control logic,

    brightness control logic and DDC.

    The power board will provide AC to DC Inverter voltage to drive the backlight of panel and the main board chips

    3. Operating Instructions 3.1 General Instructions Press the power button to turn the monitor on or off. The other control buttons are located at front panel of the

    monitor. By changing these settings, the picture can be adjusted to your personal preferences.

    The power cord should be connected. Connect the video cable from the monitor to the video card. Press the power button to turn on the monitor position. The power indicator will light up. 3.2 Control Buttons and Connectors 3.2.1 Control Buttons

    Front Panel Control Power Button: Press this button to switch ON/OFF of monitors power. Power Indicator: Blue Power On mode. Orange Off mode. MENU / ENTER: Active OSD menu or function adjust confirm or Exit OSD menu when in Contrast /Brightness OSD status. Volume /-: Activates the volume control when the OSD is OFF or navigate through adjustment icons when OSD is ON or adjust a function when function is activated. Volume /+: Activates the volume control when the OSD is OFF or navigate through adjustment icons when OSD is ON or adjust a function when function is activated. Auto Adjust button / Exit: 1. When OSD menu is in active status, this button will act as EXIT-KEY (EXIT OSD menu). 2. When OSD menu is in off status, press this button to activate the Auto Adjustment function. The Auto Adjustment function is used to optimized the HPos, VPos, Clock and Focus.

    1OSD Lock Function: To lock the OSD, press and hold the MENU button while the monitor is off and then press power button to turn the monitor on. To un-lock the OSD - press and hold the MENU button while the monitor is off and then press power button to turn the monitor on. 3.2.2 Connectors Connecting the Signal Cable: Plug the Signal Cable one end to LCD monitors DSUB-Input socket , the other end to the computers VGA port and tighten the two screws on the cable connector. Connecting the Power Cord: Plug the AC-power cord into the External Adapter. Then plug the DC-jack power cable into DC-IN Inlet. Caution: If the AC outlet is not grounded (with three holes), install the proper grounding adapter (not supplied).

    3.3 Adjusting the Picture 1. Press the MENU-button to activate the OSD window. 2. Press + or - to navigate through the functions. Once the desired function is highlighted, press the MENU-button to

    activate it. If the function selected has a sub-menu, press + or - again to navigate through the sub-menu functions. Once the desired function is highlighted, press MENU-button to activate it.

    3. Press + or - to change the settings of the selected function. 4. To exit and save, select the exit function. If you want to adjust any other function, repeat steps 2-3.

    4.3 Panel Specification LM185WH1-TLA1 is a Color Active Matrix Liquid Crystal Display with an integral Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp (CCFL) backlight system. The matrix employs a-Si Thin Film Transistor as the active element. It is a transmissive type display operating in the normally white mode. It has a 18.5 inch diagonally measured active display area with WXGA resolution (768 vertical by 1366 horizontal pixel array) Each pixel is divided into Red, Green and Blue sub-pixels or dots which are arranged in vertical stripes. Gray scale or the brightness of the sub-pixel color is determined with a 8-bit gray scale signal for each dot, thus, presenting a palette of more than 16,7M colors with Advanced-FRC (Frame Rate Control). It has been designed to apply the interface method that enables low power, high speed, low EMI. FPD Link or compatible must be used as a LVDS (Low Voltage Differential Signaling) chip. It is intended to support applications where thin thickness, wide viewing angle, low power are critical factors and graphic displays are important. In combination with the vertical arrangement of the sub-pixels, the LM185WH1-TLA1 characteristics provide an excellent flat panel display for office automation products such as monitors. 4.3.1 General Specifications

    9. White-Balance, Luminance Adjustment Approximately 30 minutes should be allowed for warm up before proceeding White-Balance adjustment.

    1. How to do the Chroma-7120 MEM. Channel setting

    A. Reference to chroma 7120 user guide

    B. Use SC key and NEXT key to modify x,y,Y value and use ID key to modify the TEXT description Following is the procedure to do white-balance adjust.

    2. Setting the color temp. you want A. MEM. (Warm color):

    6500K color temp. parameter is x = 313 30, y = 329 30, Y>180cd/m2

    B. MEM. (Normal color):

    7300K color temp. parameter is x = 302 30, y = 318 30, Y>180cd/m2

    C. MEM. (Cool color):

    9300K color temp. parameter is x = 283 30, y = 297 30, Y>150cd/m2

    D. MEM. (sRGB color):

    sRGB color temp. parameter is x = 313 30, y = 329 30, Y>180cd/m2

    3. Enter into the factory mode:

    Turn on power, press the MENU button, pull out the power cord, and then plug the power cord. Then the factory

    OSD will be at the left top of the panel.

    4. Bias adjustment:

    Set the Contrast to 50; Adjust the Brightness to 90.

    5. Gain adjustment:

    Move cursor to -F- and press MENU key

    A. Adjust (6500K) color-temperature

    1. Switch the chroma-7120 to RGB-Mode (with press MODE button) 2. Switch the MEM .channel to Channel 3 (with up or down arrow on chroma 7120) 3. The LCD-indicator on chroma 7120 will show x = 313 30, y = 329 30, Y>180cd/m2 4. Adjust the RED on factory window until chroma 7120 indicator reached the value R=100 5.
