OVERVIEW

PrefaceCASH FEVER™ is the ultimate concept in linked gaming fromAtronic and offers an amazing 4-level progressive jackpotdesigned exclusively for the thrilling e-motion™ cabinet.

All available game titles provide a game themed bonus feature(e.g. freegames, spin as long as you win, etc) and the CASHFEVER™ bonus feature.

The CASH FEVER™ bonus is triggered by a scattered symbolcombination (3x Cash Fever symbol) during the e-motion™base game. Any bet provides players with the chance totrigger the bonus games and a chance at one of the jackpots, but higher bets in the base game provide better chances atwinning one of the 4 jackpots.

Once triggered, the player gets randomly 5, 7 or 10 freegames (special reelstrip and special symbols).

All bonus games are played with the same number of lines, bet per line and play modes as the game that triggered thebonus session.

As the bonus games are played the credits are accrued onDr. CashFever’s Thermometer in the upper screen. Each ofthe 4 jackpots are triggered in turn when a specific numberof credits are awarded during the bonus games - the morecredits won during the bonus games the „hotter“ thethermometer becomes for bigger jackpot wins.

CASH FEVER™ is driven by Atronic's unique internal, in-machine, progressive controller (APL™). This gives theoperator the option to operate each link without any otherequipment or infrastructure.

In addition CASH FEVER™ can be operated based on anySAS based progressive controller/system locally or multi-site. The setup for system based installations is describedin a seperate document named

• Manual CASH FEVER - Set Up andConfiguration (for system based installations)

GENERAL CONFIGURATION NOTES

When configuring a CASH FEVER™ installation, thereare a few things to consider:

Progressive CalculationThe CASH FEVER™ progressive parameters arecalculated by means of the Atronic ProgressiveCalculation Sheet. During order processing you receiveda copy of this calculation sheet which determines theparameters for a particular CASH FEVER™ installation. To avoid incorrect payout percentages, please do notuse any other values than stated in this document. Ifan alteration of the progressive parameters becomesnecessary, please ask your local sales represantativefor a recalculation.

Base ValuesThe base values of the 4 progressive jackpot levels arenot adjustable, as they are essential elements of thepaytable. The base values are defined by the configuration codewhich has been determined during order processingby means of the Progressive Calculation Sheet.

Configuration CodeThe Configuration Code is set during the initial setupof each CASH FEVER™ game (see also section MachineSetup / Initial Setup on page 28). It determines thebase values and the trigger values of the 4 progressi-ve jackpot levels (mini, minor, major, grand) and thetrigger frequency of the CASH FEVER™ bonus. Do notuse any other Configuration Codes than stated in theAtronic Progressive Calculation Sheet.

Jackpot HandpaysThe threshold value for jackpot handpays is determinedby the Celebration Limit setting. A win that exceedsthis limit will trigger a jackpot handpay independentfrom the progressive jackpot level that was hit. Seealso section Machine Configuration / Celebration Limiton page 38 or the corresponding software manual.

ATRONIC PROGRESSIVE LINK™

What is APL?The CASH FEVER™ links use Atronic Progressive Link™(APL) technology to link the participating gamingmachines. APL provides a very simple way to link Atronicgames to a local area progressive.

Setting up a progressive using the APL is quite easyas the internal progressive system is operated via thecommboard of the machine. By simply linking directlyfrom one machine commboard to another, up to 20CASH FEVER™ games can be linked to a progressive. The APL requires no external controller.

The APL is designed to be flexible and user friendly andoperates with one machine acting as the master andthe other machines in the link as slaves. The decisionabout which game is the master is not pre determinedand can therefore be selected via a dipswitch on thecommboard. More importantly if the master machinefails, another machine in the link can be appointed asthe master via the dipswitch so no data is lost andthe progressive remaines active.

The entire set up of the progressive jackpot andconfiguration for all the machines in the link is carriedout on the master machine via a connection betweena PC and the mainboard.

The progressive jackpot is automatically displayed viaan on-screen meter (utilizing e-motion™ dual screentechnology) and one or more plasma screens.

CASH FEVER™ Link Sizes

Minimum Link Size: 4 machinesRecommended Link Size: 8 - 12 machinesMaximium Link Size (APL based): 20 machines

MACHINE SETUP

This section describes how to carry out a RAM Resetand the Initial Setup which is required to configurebasic machine settings and carry out jackpotconfiguration.

OverviewAtronic machines usually come configured as specifiedwith the order. However it may be necessary to re-configure basic machine settings, such asdenomination, metering, paytable, etc. These settingscan not be altered during normal operation, as theyrequire a machine reinitialisation for technical orjurisdictional reasons. Applying new progressive jackpotsettings also requires a RAM Reset.

To re-configure basic machine and jackpot settings:

1. Perform a RAM ResetThis will clear all machine data, statistics and set-tings, including progressive jackpot configuration.

2. Carry out the Initial SetupAfter a RAM Reset has been performed, the ma-chine automatically enters the Initial Setup menu. The Initial Setup allows to configure all basic ma-chine setting.

3. Jackpot ConfigurationAfter the Initial Setup has been carried out, it isnecessary to carry out the progressive jackpot con-figuration. Do not insert credits before the jack-pot configuration is done.

In an APL link the jackpot configuration has to becarried out at the APL master machine only. Thejackpot configuration is then transferred to all lin-ked APL slave machines.

MACHINE CONFIGURATION

Service MenuThe Service Menu provides several settings and optionsthat can be adjusted during normal machine operation(see overview on next page). To access the ServiceMenu, open the maindoor and press the service buttonat front of the logic box.

Recommended Service Menu Settings:

Celebration LimitThe celebration limit determines the threshold forjackpot handpays. A win exceeding the celebration limitinitiates a win celebration and needs to beacknowledged by an attendant using the jackpot key.

Important: A progressive jackpot win doesnot automatically initiate a handpay! The winamount has to exceed the celebration limit,in order to initiate a jackpot handpay.
