MGJV contacted Geosynthetics Ltd enquiring about an enviromentally sound product capable of withstanding D400 highway loadings. Our engineers were able to provide a technical recommendaon based on TTE® to sasfy the traffic loading requirements. A site visit was conducted to finalise the details and discuss the installaon methods and sub-base requirements. MGJV also decided to use TTE®. TTE®’s construcon enables a range of installaon paerns to be used. Each paern has parcular strengths depending on the use of the area and direcon of vehicle movements. MGJV laid the TTE® in a ‘Stretcher Bond’ paern for the site entrance and a ‘Herringbone Bond’ for the turning area. TTE® was able to cover all loading requirements and because it does not require any curing me compared to concrete, the site was sll accessible while final commissioning took place. The TTE® was seeded and quickly began to fill with grass. When complete 64% of the surface will be grass helping to blend it in and look less obtrusive.

Thames Water specifically wanted the site to be green and sympathetic to the surrounding area but able to with stand maintenance tankers. MGJV contacted Geosynthetics Ltd enquiring about an enviromentally sound product capable of withstanding D400 highway loadings.

Our engineers were able to provide a technical recommendation based on TTE® to satisfy the traffic loading requirements. A site visit was conducted to finalise the details and discuss the installation methods and sub-base requirements.MGJV also decided to use TTE®.

TTE®’s construction enables a range of installation patterns to be used. Each pattern has particular strengths depending on the use of the area and direction of vehicle movements. MGJV laid the TTE® in a ‘Stretcher Bond’ pattern for the site entrance and a ‘Herringbone Bond’ for the turning area.

TTE® was able to cover all loading requirements and because it does not require any curing time compared to concrete, the site was still accessible while final commissioning took place. The TTE® was seeded and quickly began to fill with grass. When complete 64% of the surface will be grass helping to blend it in and look less obtrusive.
