FAM Benefits versus project specific XT

Flow Access Modules (FAM)

Low risk - Standard “stock” tree = faster (known) delivery

Ability to configure FAM modules gives Life of Field flexibility

FAM design completed in parallel (off critical path)

Tree can be FAT and Installed without project specific technologies (such as flow meter)

Cost reduction opportunities due to spec break (components located off tree can be to lower material spec)

Project Specific “bespoke” Tree with Flow Control Module

Standard Tree with Flow Access Module

Bespoke design required for each project / field

Increases project schedule as system Engineering to be completed prior to finalising XT

Tree can only be FAT & Delivered once FCM is completed and integrated (Inc. long lead items e.g. flow meter)

Typically ~30% more weight & cost than standard tree

• Hand Calculation confirms both goosenecks benefit from the addition of bracing to support worst case loads that may be imparted from the flowline.

• FEA used to verify stresses throughout gooseneck remain within allowable.

• Design on N2 Gooseneck required telescoping action. Once landed and locked brace is energised and pinned to provide more rigid structure.

Delivered project enhanced production strategic objectives for:

⁻ Multiphase metering

⁻ Hydrate remediation

⁻ Future tie in for well stimulation

Delivered with benefits including:

‐ Fast track procurement; enabling earlier procurement of standard architecture

‐ De-risk the projects; enabling the use of standard ‘off the shelf’ hardware

‐ De-risk the critical path; undertaking concurrent project specific engineering

‐ Lower cost; taking advantage of material spec breaks
