Early years...Norwich City F.C. was formed following a meeting at the Criterion Cafe in Norwich on 17 June 1902 and played its first competitive match against Harwich & Parkeston, at Newmarket Road on 6 September 1902. Following a FA Commission, the club was ousted from the amateur game in 1905, deemed a professional organisation. Later that year Norwich was elected to play in the Southern League and with in-creasing crowds, it was forced to leave Newmarket Road in 1908, mov-ing to The Nest, a disused chalk pit. The club’s original nickname

At Norwich City Football Club Check Your Security has been able to integrate and upgrade their existing analogue CCTV to a 21st century fully digital solution.

With the introduction of Flir Quasar Mini Domes and 360 Vision Predator CCTV cameras at Carrow Road, the security team will be able to provide a proactive and reactive response towards security incidents and fan safety in the event of an emergency.

was the Citizens, although this was superseded by 1907 by the more familiar Canaries after the club’s chairman (who was a keen breeder of canaries) dubbed his boys ‘The Canaries’ and changed their strip to yellow and green. During the First World War, with football suspended and facing spiraling debts, City went into voluntary liquidation on 10 December 1917. The club was officially reformed on 15 February 1919 – a key figure in the events was Charles Frederick Watling, future Lord Mayor of Norwich and the father of future club chairman, Geof-frey Watling. When, in May 1920, the Football League formed a third Division, Norwich joined the Third Division for the following season. Their first league fixture, against Plymouth Argyle, on 28 August 1920, ended in a 1–1 draw. The club went on to endure a mediocre decade, finishing no higher than eighth but no lower than 18th.

We have been using CYS for a number of years as our CCTV specialists and they have never failed us - they know how critical CCTV is to our operation. Since they specialise in IPCCTV we asked their advice on what options were open to us and were staggered by the choice and scope of what they came up with. Having recently completed major IPCCTV upgrade at Great Ormond Street Hospital and having a number of large sites they look after like the University of East Anglia, Bacton Gas Terminal and University Campus Suffolk in Suffolk - we had confidence in their abilities and were amazed at what could be accomplished with modern Digital IPCCTV system today - having them being Norfolk based and local was a real bonus for us.
