Sapphire's innovative balcony solutions allow for bespoke requirements. Working withthe facade company, Sapphire offered training for the install teams and loanedbespoke install equipment to enable quick and simple installation of all the balconies.Sapphire was able to create bespoke fascias made from aluminium extrusion, to looklike steel 'I' beams. Using heat strengthened 12+12mm laminated glass balustrades.Sapphire was able to reduce the risk of Nickel Sulphide inclusion and use a channelfixing to reduce deflection of the balustrades.

Working in partnership with the project’s façade contractor, Colorminium, Sapphiredesigned and manufactured 129 projecting balconies using its innovative Glide-On™ Cassette® technology.

Step 1

Sapphire manufactured and stored Glide-On™ Cassette® balconies for LillieSquare at its Winchester production facility while balcony connections werecompleted on-site.

Step 2

Once the façade was complete, the bespoke balcony cassettes (the framestructure and glass balustrade) were delivered to site, preassembled andfactory-finished.

Step 3

Using Sapphire’s innovative counter-balance technology, the balconies werelifted into position and simply glided onto the pre-installed brackets.
