and I’m a Medical Billing Specialist

MY JOURNEY BEGANAs a Medical Secretary for the Psychology Department at Hillsborough Correctional Institution in 1998 to 2000.

LOOKING FOR BETTER WORKING CONDITIONSI worked at Home Depot Contact Center as a customer service representative from 2001 to 2003.I was promoted in 2003, creating special orders for blinds, wallpaper, and flooring.

WHEN THE CONTACT CENTER CLOSED, I DECIDED TO GO TO SOUTHWEST FLORIDA COLLEGEI wanted to combine my skills in order writing, and accounting, so I decided to Major in medical administration with medical billing and coding.

I GRADUATED IN DECEMBER 2011Received my degree in Health Information Technology.

First Job in Medical billing and coding began with Primedbilling LLC in Wesley Chapel, Florida.I started working with Accounts Receivables calling 300 to 700 calls a day collecting past due accounts. When no response to phone calls, the patient was placed in collections.I was promoted to coding 1500 medical claims for multiple physicians with revenue from 20,000 to 30,000 dollars per practice.

I SPEND TIME WITH MY HUSBANDWe go to the movies.We watch movies and eat popcorn at home.
