When most clever people have an idea, it’s said thatthey’ve had a “light bulb moment”. One might saythat Jan Clouse’s epiphany came in the form of a“gas lantern moment”.

When she was building her home, Jan went searching for two gas lanterns to grace her frontentry way. Flabbergasted when she was quoted a$3500.00 estimate at a local lighting store andtreated shabbily by the sales clerk, she went on herquest. She found her lanterns and her future inupstate South Carolina, where a lamp maker meticulously created historical reproductions of copper lanterns. “I called my family immediately andsaid ‘we’re in the lantern business.’”

Most of our many models of lanterns are available in different applications, such

as wall mounted, post mounted, and hanging.

Also, our lanterns are made for use with several different sources of energy. The

most popular utilize natural gas, but these same fixtures can be used as propane

gas lights. When a gas light fixture is not practical, all the same styles can be built

to use electricity. The look of electric lanterns can be enhanced dramatically with

different light bulbs…flicker, silicone dipped, clear and frosted are just some of

the styles available. You an also choose seedy or antique glass to enhance the beauty.

So that you can personalize your gas light fixture, we offer different finishes and

ornate scrolls to frame your creation. Pick your style and customize with different

scrolls, glass, finishes and make a true statement in your home. The most popular

finish is natural copper, which starts out shiny, like a new copper penny, and ages

to a beautiful dark patina. This is nature’s way of protecting the copper and helping

it to withstand all temperatures and weather conditions.
