Levels of Jobs• Entry level: kinds of jobs many people
take when they first enter a career area.• Paraprofessional: has some education
beyond high school that trains a person for a certain field.
• Professional: Position requires at least a degree from a 2 or 4 year institution. Most people who have professional jobs have advanced degrees such as a Masters.
Characteristics of Being an Entrepreneur
• No boss• Make own rules• Set their own schedules• Make own descions
When making decisions about choosing a

potential for learning a skill– abilities
Gaining Work Experience
• Internship: a job in which a person works for little or no pay while gaining work experience and receiving supervision.

• Service Learning: A project in which students volunteer in their community as a graduation requirement.
• Work Based Learning: Programs that offer students the opportunity to combine in school and on the job learning.
