Definition of Retailing

Retailing- It is defined as a conclusive set of activities or steps used to sell a product or a service to consumers for their personal or family use.

Retailer-A business or person that sells goods to the consumer.

Regulate the conditions, recruitment, discharge, disciplinary action, holidays, etc.

This act is applicable to industrial establishments wherein 50 or more workmen have been employed in the preceding 12 months.

Central & State Govt. can make this act applicable to less than 50 person as in case of U.P. & West Bengal.
