Madison Adult Career Center (MACC) is proud to be one of the leading adult technical training centers in our area. We have been serving adult learners and employers for over 30 years!

We also provide employers with Customized Training Services on-site or at MACC.

Industrial Electrical Maintenance (600 HOURS)Students prepare for National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) certification inmultiple areas through classroom theory and lab application. Our industry-current lab facilities are equippedwith Electromechanical Trainers, Motor Control Simulators, Wind/Solar Training Stations and Grid Tie Systems, Pneumatic Training Apparatus, Greenlee Computerized Conduit Benders, PLC Trainers, Multi-Process Welding Stations, Fabricators and Virtual Welders.Program begins 8/26/19! Phlebotomy/EKG (244 HOURS)Students complete intense classroom/lab training followed by a 2 1/2 week externship at local OhioHealth facilities. Students become a Registered Phlebotomy Technician through American Medical Technologists (AMT) upon passage of certification exam.Three start dates per year! Precision Machining/CNC Technology (375 HOURS)Our program includes hands-on CNC machining, including machine setup and operations, CNC programming,industrial mold maintenance, applied mathematics and blueprint reading. Students learn to operate a variety of equipment and machines including our CNC mill, CNC lathe and CNC tool room lathe. Program prepares students for National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) certification.*$4000 Scholarships Available for those who qualify!

State-Tested Nurse Aide (STNA) (96 HOURS)Classroom instruction and clinical experiences help prepare students for certification through the OhioDepartment of Health as a State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA). Our program goes beyond the state minimum to help prepare students for certification, further education in nursing and employment!*$600 Scholarships Available for those who qualify!

Other free services offered include access to job leads, envelopes/postage, fax machines, résumé development, workshops and seminars for employers and job seekers. GD&T: Geometric, Dimensioning and Tolerancing

A beginning course on the use and the understanding of GD&T (geometric, dimensioning and tolerancing) symbols including their use, meaning and association on manufacturing prints. This course includes the terms used for the machining of production parts, the requirements for machining within tolerance specifications and the geometric specification per ASME Y14.5 Standard.

Basic Residential Wiring

Gain knowledge in electricity safety, troubleshooting, lighting, plugs, switches and additional common electrical needs. Get an introduction to the forces that are characteristic of alternating current (AC) systems and Ohm’s Law to AC circuits, the National Electrical Code and its application to residential wiring, blueprint reading, wiring circuits, conductors and cables used in residential wiring, electrical service installations and grounding. NEW Decluttering KonMari Method & Swedish Death Cleaning

There are a gazillion ways to declutter and organize. Get rid of your anxieties. The main focus of this is findinga way to “free yourself”, as well as making your home more relaxing and enjoyable. Both are extreme forms of decluttering and both require a lifestyle change. KonMari Method is about keeping only what sparks joy. Swedish Death Cleaning is about getting rid of things other people won’t want when you are gone and while they are grieving. The class will touch on reasons for decluttering, methods, and how to rid anxieties while doing it, and about “freeing oneself” from “stuff” and materialism.

Landscape Design/Care

Learn the basic principles of landscape design. Registration is open to all adults living in any school district. It is important to register as early as possible, as there is a limit to the number of students in each class. Registration deadline is 72 hours prior to the course. Late registrations are on a space-available basis.

If you are 65 or older and a resident of the Madison School District, you are invited to take one course per session at a 50% discount on tuition only (maximum of $50 discount). You will be asked to pay any additional textbook and/or supply fees.

If you are 65 or older, you are invited to take one course per session at a 10% discount on tuition only (maximum of $10 discount). You will be asked to pay any additional textbook and/or supply fees.

All tuition fees are due at the time of registration. Payment may be made by check, money order, cash, Visa®, MasterCard® or Discover.
