Initiation of Lecture Series on “Faculty Development” in Career Point

University, Hamirpur A lecture series has been initiated in

Career Point University, Hamirpur for

faculty development. The event was

inaugurated by Prof. P.L. Gautam, Vice-

Chancellor CPU, Hamirpur. He delivered

a lecture on value of education and

different methods of teaching.

Mr. Saurabh Kumar, Assistant

Professor, English Department has

delivered a lecture on Mentor–Mentee.

He introduced Mentor-Mentee

relationship and explained its

importance, benefits to faculty members.

All the faculty members of the CPU,

Hamirpur were present on this occasion.

The authorities has decided to proceed

with such objectives in future.

A workshop on Career Awareness in the field of Law A workshop on career awareness in the

field of Law was conducted by Career

Point university, Hamirpur at Bherari

Senior Secondary School, Hamirpur.

This awareness programme was

headed by Miss Ritu, Assistant

Professor Law Department, Career

Point university , Hamirpur. More than

150 students participated in the

workshop.

In an another event, Miss

Ritu Panta, Assistant Professor Law,

CPU, Hamirpur delivered a lecture on

“Save the Girl Child” at Ludrar Gram

Panchayat. The programme was

convened and chaired by Sh. Abhay

Deep Singh Mandayal, chief Judicial

Magistrate, Hamirpur.

An Educational trip to Barot Valley by Zoology division of

Career Point University Hamirpur

The Zoology division of Career

Point University Hamirpur has

organized one day educational

trip to barot (Mandi). The

students of zoology division

have visited trout breeding

center. Dr. Abhinay Thakur

(H.O.D.) along with their

faculty members namely Mr.

Kushal Thakur and Ms. Sarita

has explained the various rearing

practices of fish and their

importance to the students.

The students have also collected various insects from the valley to

complete their practical curriculum. In addition, Mr. Kushal and Ms. Sarita

also demonstrated the practical regarding ecological study of flora to B.Sc

students. It was a memorable experience for all the students in which they

have gained a lot of knowledge regarding biodiversity.

A cleanness drive by NSS student of Career Point

University was started at Ambedkar Bhavan &

Ayurvedic dispensary, Bassi, This cleanness drive

was carried forward in the presence of NSS Co-

ordinator Jyoti Thakur, Er. Rahul Jamwal, Vinod

Sharma, Shivali Rathor. The purpose of this was to

spread awareness in surrounding areas.
