Blood Donation Camp at Career Point University
Hamirpur
A blood donation camp was organized by NSS Unit
and Red Ribbon Club of Career Point University in
Collaboration with Govt. Medical College, Hamirpur
in Career Point University Campus. Dr. Rakesh Kumar
from Govt. Medical College was present with his team.
45 units of blood were collected in blood donation
camp. Programme was inaugurated by Pro-Chancellor
Prof. P L Gautam. He made students aware about
importance of blood donation. On this occasion,
University Registrar Dr. Sanjeev Sharma, faculty and
students also donated blood.
One Day Workshop on " Climate Change:
Challenge or Opportunity!”
Workshop on ‘Horticulture and Environmental
Changes’ was organised in Career Point University.
This workshop was organised by Department of
Environmental Science and Technology in cooperation
with Environment, Forest and Climate change
Department of Government of India. Dr. Suresh Atri,
State Coordinator of Environment, Forest and Climate
Change Department of India discussed the factors that
are affecting our climate and told us how to preserve
our climate.

Samvaad- The Battle of Words, 1st Youth Parliament in
School of Legal Studies and Governance
Titled "Youth Parliament Dialogue". In this program,
students of Law Department discussed the latest changes in
the SC, ST Act, representing various political parties.
Arvind, the Chairperson of 9th semester of law department,
Mohit, the Secretary of 7th semester and Arjun, the
Treasurer of 9th semester were the organisers of youth
Parliament. Arjun, Shalini, Navneet, Poonam, Khemraj and
Vickey were members in this committee. The youth
Parliament Committee will organize the Modern United
Nations Assembly in the coming times. In this program,
Arvind took the first place, playing the role of Prime
Minister Naraendra Modi. Nirmita got the 2nd position
while playing the role of Sita Raman and Swati got the
third position while playing the role of Sonia Gandhi.
Souvenirs and certificates were provided to all participants
on this occasion.
A Motivational Lecture on Career Enhancement
A one day workshop was organized by Training and
Placement Cell in Career Point University. Mr. Shekhar
Tiwari was the Spokesperson. He made students aware of
New Techniques and Employment Opportunities. All
students of Computer Science Department participated in
this workshop. Mr. Shekhar Tiwari informed students
about career related plans.

Guest Lecture on Safe and Effective Use
of Drugs by Dr. Lalit Kaliya, BMO
Bhoranj
A guest lecture was organised by Pharmacy
Department of Career Point University.
B.M.O. Bhoranj Dr. Lalit Kaliya was the
Chief Guest. He made students aware about
the safe use and side effects of medicines.
He also informed students how to destroy
things used in surgery. Dr. Kaliya informed
students of diseases like Dengue, Asthma,
Influenza, HIV and T.B. and also told about
precautions of these diseases.
Guest Lecture by Ms. Sheetal Changra on
‘Psychological Pressure on Career and
Stress Management’
Ms Sheetal Changra, the Psychiatrist told
that the students of BBA, B.Com and B.
Pharmacy how to protect themselves from
stress. She motivated the students about
themselves as well as grooming their talent
and personality. Prof. M. R. Sharma, the
Dean Academic Affairs, Dr. Lekhraj Verma,

present on this occasion.

Poster Making Competition on “Importance of English
Language” by EDLC Club, Career Point University
Hamirpur
English Debate & Literary Club (CPUH) had organized
Poster Making Competition on “Importance of English
Language”. The students of various departments
participated and expressed that how to use conversational
English, communication skills like listening skills, writing
skills, speaking skills and reading skills effectively in
professionalism through their posters. Pooja Sharma,
Nisha Kumari, Kanchan Bala and Ritu Sharma (M Sc Phy
& Chem, 1st Sem.) got 1st position in poster making
competition. Dr. M. R. Sharma, Dean Academic Affairs,
Dr. S. Vaibhav, Head of ME Dept. and Mr. Saurabh
Kumar, Head of Eng. Dept. (the judges) were present on
this occasion. Ms Priyanka Kaushal, Head of EDLC Club
congratulated and thanked all to make this competition
successful.
Campus Placement of Students of Career Point
University
The campus placement for students of B. Tech and MCA
was organised by Career Point University. Development
Manager of WebAstral Company, Ms. Suman Kumari
conducted written examination and interview of BCA
students. Seven students were short listed.
