2015 Graduate Survey • Montana State University–Bozeman

2015 Career Destinations

n = 883

n = 931

n = 919

Each year Career, Internship & Student Employment Services at Montana State University conducts a survey to determine placement rates and salary survey information from recent MSU graduates (Summer 2014, Fall 2014, and Spring 2015). Graduates were requested to participate in the survey to provide relevant information regarding the transition from college to career/graduate school. The contents of this document reflect the information gleaned from that effort, demonstrating “life after university“ with regard to employment, graduate school, salary, location, etc.

There were 2,783 graduates and 1,297 respondents (46.6% response rate). • 78.3% (n=1,017) indicated they were employed full-time. • 10.1% (n=131) indicated they were employed part-time. • 5.8% (n=75) indicated they were not employed and not seeking employment. • 5.7% (n=74) indicated they were not employed, but seeking employment.

n= total number of respondents reporting salary* Not all respondents answered all questions. Statistics, therefore, are not always based upon response of the total sample group. Some line items do not total 100% due to respondents indicating they are not currently seeking employment or due to rounding of significant digits.**5 year master’s programs are reported both in Bachelor and Master’s sections. *** I.D. = Insufficient Data due to small graduate population or limited response rate.**** Some graduates received two or more degrees and are repeated in the college summary under all degrees received.

n= total number of respondents reporting salary* Not all respondents answered all questions.
