Students of the Week

This week sees the culmination of the program, with Vicki spending her last official time working with the 5/6 artist group. We are absolutely thrilled with the way in which our students have responded to this special opportunity. We are amazed and very proud of the work they have achieved. The discoveries they have made throughout the journey will undoubtedly support them in their future learning. A big thank you goes out to Vicki. We feel incredibly lucky to have been partnered with her through the AIS program. You are all invited to a gallery walk in the 5/6 learning area this Friday beginning at 12 o’clock where the student’s work will be displayed. If you are unable to make it you can always access the blog: http://mountclearps.global2.vic.edu.au/

Confidence means knowing that you will likely be successful and that people will like you. It means not being afraid to make

mistakes or to try something new. It means looking and sounding confident.

Examples of confident behaviour are:

raising your hand in class to answer a hard question,

doing hard work without asking for help,

sharing a new idea with a teacher or the class, starting a conversation with a new classmate and standing up straight and

speaking with a firm voice.

Positive Habits of the Mind that help develop a young person’s Confidence include:

I Can Do It - thinking that I’m more likely to be successful than I am to fail.

Accepting Myself - not thinking badly about myself when I make a mistake.

Taking Risks - thinking that it’s good to try something new even though I might not be able to do it.

Being Independent - thinking that I Can Do It!

We have a large amount of lost property. Please drop in to reclaim those lost jumpers.
