LAST LOOK AT THE LAKES TOURThe Last Look at The Lakes Tour was a last stitch eort to capture the minds o voterswho were on the ence about Proposal 3. I led the digital media eorts o a more than800 mile tour accross Michigans great lakes. The ollowing is a collection o the dailyblog posts I wrote, photos I captured and news coverage that was generated as a result

    o the tour.

DAY 1: LAST LOOK AT THE LAKES TOUR

Yesterday, we set out on our Last Look at The Lakes Tour to urgevoters to say NO to the $12 billion Proposal 3 energy mandate.

On the TourI passed, Proposal 3 would require building 3,100more wind turbines, all located where we have wind capacity and thats along Michigans most precious natural resource, theGreat Lakes. The tour aims to put into perspective this negative

impact Proposal 3 would have along Michigans shoreline.

Starting in Mt. Clemens, we passed out brochures, yard signs, background inormation and our ever-popular windmill cookiesto interested voters, city and state ofcials and others concernedwith Proposal 3 and its $12 billion cost being locked into our stateConstitution, something no other state has done.

Lynn T: vote NO on Proposal 3During yesterdays trip several stops

were made in Macomb, St. Clair, Sanilac and Huron Counties tomeet with voters and talk about Proposal 3s negative impact.

Eric F., a student at St. Clair Community College said, Turning arenewable energy issue into a constitutional amendment is shortsighted due to the ever-changing nature o the eld. We also raninto Lynn T. rom Ubly who told us, My thoughts on Proposal 3 arethat we simply can not aord it. It is ar more expensive than whatpeople are being led to believe and it will not create the jobs thatwe are being told it will create.

Stay tuned or more rom our tour as we spread the word aboutthe potentially negative eects o Proposal 3. With six days let,

we urge you to vote NO on Proposal 3.

    Lynn T.

DAY 2: LAST LOOK AT THE LAKES TOUR

Yesterday marked the second day o our Last Look at the LakesTour, which ocuses on the impact o the 3,100 wind turbinesrequired to meet the $12 billion Proposal 3 energy mandate.

These turbines would likely be placed along Michigans iconic

Great Lakes shorelines, since they are the best locations orwind energy.

Our rst stop took us to Bringer Inn in Saginaw where wecaught up with Jim N. who shared his concerns with Prop. 3: Mybiggest concern is the attempt by outside interests to amendour Constitution.

We then visited voters, local businesses, restaurants and otherstops along Lake Huron. Its clear on Main Street that Michiganvoters recognize the threat Proposal 3 poses to the state. We

caught thumbs up and high-ves rom people who had alreadyvoted by absentee ballot against this out-o-state specialinterest backed $12 billion energy mandate being locked intoour state Constitution something no other state has done.

We urge all Michigan voters to vote NO on Prop. 3 in Tuesdayselection!

DAY 3: LAST LOOK AT THE LAKES TOUR

Day 3 o our Last Look at the Lakes Tour took us around beautiulLake Michigan which could be orever changed by the 3,100wind turbines required to meet Proposal 3s energy mandate. We

visited voters at caes, businesses, parks and more in Mackinaw

City, Petoskey, Charlevoix, Traverse City and Benzonia.

We ran into voters who agreed that Proposal 3 would be costlyto businesses, amilies and Michigan. They agreed that lockingan arbitrary $12 billion proposal into our States Constitution isa highly unnecessary approach to implementing a renewableenergy standard.

Erin Bemis, president o the Charlevoix Area Chamber oCommerce said, These kinds o changes dont belong in ourStates Constitution and we are concerned with the additional

cost burden this proposal would have on our businesses.

As we continue to spread the word about the potentiallynegative aects o Proposal 3, we urge voters to protect theirpockets, Michigans businesses, breathtaking shorelines as well

as its energy uture by voting NO on Prop. 3 on Tuesday!
