       MIND  MAP                                                            1)   BAĞLAM/CONTEXT    This  module  focuses  on  radio  shows  and  the  conversations  around  it.  In  this  module,  you  will  learn  about  Turkish  radio  stations,  Turkish  music,  and  how  to  get  to  know  a  person  you  just  met.  You  will  practice  basic  speech  patterns  that  you  use  when  you  are  making  small  talk.  You  will  also  learn  about  new  

trends  and  important  topics  in  the  Turkish  news  while  preparing  for  the  radio  show  you  will  present.  You  will  work  on  your  interviewing  skills  and,  in  the  end,  practice  how  to  broadcast  an  interesting  and  engaging  radio  show  for  your  classmates.

 2)   TEMATİK  PROJE  /  THEMATIC  PROJECT  

 PREPARE  A  RADIO  SHOW  In  this  project,  you  will  familiarize  yourself  with  everyday  use  of  basic  Turkish  language  through  conversations  around  radio.  You  will  practice  how  to  introduce  yourself  and  briefly  talk  about  your  interests,  what  you  like  and  do  not  like,  while  preparing  a  radio  show.  You  will  listen  to  Turkish  radio  shows  and  interview  your  friends  to  get  to  know  each  other.  You  will  work  within  a  group  to  prepare  an  entireradio  show  that  is  both  interesting  and  incorporates  introductory  language.

3. Watch  the  interview  with  Serdar  Gökalp,  host  of  the  radio  show  “Serdar  Yayında”  broadcasted  by  Best  FM.  Take  notes  on  how  the  interviewer  asks  questions  and  how  the  interviewee  responds  to  them.  What  kind  of  topics  do  they  talk  about?  

4. Pair  up  with  a  classmate  and  prepare  a  20-­‐minute  radio  show  together.  Your  show  should  be  complete  with  a  most-­‐listened-­‐to  song  list,  a  guest  speaker,  and  an  audience  calling  into  the  show  and  making  song  requests.  Record  your  show  and  create  a  podcast.  See  the  suggestions  (Guidelines  B)  on  how  to  prepare  your  radio  show.

3. Best  FM’de  “Serdar  Yayında”  adlı  programı  sunan  Serdar  Gökalp’in  röportajını  izleyiniz.  Röportajı  yapan  kişinin  soruları  nasıl  sorduğu  ve  konuğun  soruları  nasıl  cevapladığına  dair  notlar  alınız.  Ne  gibi  konular  konuşuyorlar?    

4. Sınıftan  bir  arkadaşınızla  grup  olarak  20  dakikalık  bir  radyo  programı  hazırlayınız.  Programınız  çok  dinlenilen  şarkı  listesi,  konuk  konuşmacı,  ve  telefon  ile  arayıp  yayına  katılan  ve  şarkı  isteyen  dinleyicileri  de  içermelidir.  Programınızı  kaydedip  bir  podcast  hazırlayınız.  Radyo  programınızı  hazırlarken  Öneriler  B  kısmından  yararlanabilirsiniz.    

 B.  Suggestions  for  preparing  the  radio  show:    1.  Discuss  the  layout  and  the  topics  of  your  

radio  show  with  your  friend.  Decide  on  what  type  of  music  you  will  play,  what  type  of  topics  you  will  discuss.    

 2.  Your  radio  show  can  include  one  or  more  of  

the  following.    a.  You  can  make  a  playlist  of  the  5  most-­‐

listened  to  songs  of  the  time.  Search  the  Internet  for  popular  Turkish  songs  that  are  often  played  on  Turkish  radio  shows.  Make  sure  to  present  the  songs  properly  during  the  show.  Include  a  few  sentences  about  each  song.    

b.  You  can  invite  a  guest  speaker  to  your  show.  The  guest  can  be  one  of  the  group  mates  or  you  can  ask  a  friend  to  be  the  guest  speaker.  Interview  your  guest  about  

who  she  is,  what  she  likes  or  dislikes,  what  her  favorite  singers  /  songs  are,  etc…  

c.  You  can  include  some  news  in  your  show.  You  can  summarize  and  discuss  interesting  topics  from  Turkish  newspapers  and  make  assessments  of  the  arguments  put  forth  in  the  articles.    

d.  You  can  have  some  listeners  call  in  to  the  show.  You  can  talk  to  them  about  who  they  are,  what  they  do  for  living,  and  what  they  like/  dislike  about  a  topic.    

e.  You  can  talk  about  celebrities  and  fashionon  your  radio  show.  You  can  read  some  news  about  thecurrent  trends  or  you  can  find  jokes  and  share  those  with  your  audience.

 B.  Radyo  pogramınızı  hazırlamanızda  öneriler:    1.  Grup  arkadaşınızla  radyo  programınızın  

planını  ve  temel  konuları  kararlaştırınız.  Programda  çalacağınız  şarkı  türlerine  ve  konuşacağınız  konulara  karar  veriniz.    

2.  Bu  aşamada  röportajı  izlerken  aldığınız  notlara  başvurabilirsiniz.    

3.  Radyo  programınız  aşağıda  verilen  listedekilerin  iki  veya  daha  fazlasını  içerebilir.    

a.  En  çok  dinlenen  5  şarkının  listesini  hazırlayabilirsiniz.  Türk  radyolarında  en  çok  sevilen  ve  çalınan  şarkılarıöğrenmek  için  bir  Internet  araştırması  yapınız.  Programınızda  şarkıları  doğru  şekilde  anons  etmeyi  ihmal  etmeyiniz.  Her  şarkıyla  alakalı  tanıtım  amaçlı  birkaç  cümle  söyleyiniz.    

b.  Programınızda  bir  konuk  ağarlayabilirsiniz.  Gruptaki  arkadaşlarınızdan  biri  konuk  olabilir,  ya  da  sınıftan  bir  arkadaşınıza  sorabilirsiniz.  Konuğunuza  kim  olduğu,  nelerden  hoşlandığı/hoşlanmadığı,  sevdiği  şarkı  ve  şarkıcılar  hakkında  sorular  sorabilirsiniz.    

c.  Programınızda  güncel  haberlere  yer  verebilirsiniz.  Türk  gazetelerindeki  konuları  tartışıp  özetleyebilirsiniz.  Makalelerde  ortaya  atılan  savlar  hakkında  tartışabilirsiniz.    

d.  Programınıza  telefonla  katılan  dinleyicileriniz  olabilir.  Onlarla  kim  oldukları,  ne  işte  çalıştıkları,  nelerden  hoşlanıp  hoşlanmadıkları  hakkında  konuşabilirsiniz.    

e.  Radyo  programınızda  ünlü  kişiler  ve  modadan  bahsedebilirsiniz.  En  son  modayla  alakalı  haberler  veya  komik  hikayeler  bulup  dinleyicilerinizle  paylaşabilirsiniz.
