Artes Mundi 5 Sat 6 October-Sun 13 January 2013Artes Mundi, Wales’s biggest and most exciting contemporary visual artshow is back for its 5th exhibition in its new home, the outstanding NationalMuseum of Art, on the top floor of National Museum Cardiff.

Seven exceptional artists have been selected to take part in the exhibition, drawn fromover 750 nominations covering every continent in the world except Antarctica. Their workexplores social themes, telling stories of lived experience from countries and culturesacross the world through a variety of media including sculpture, installations, photography,film and performance.

In late November an international panel of judges will award one of the artists the £40,000Artes Mundi Prize, the UK’s largest art prize.
